- confidencialim working with zipweb.. as outbound telemarketer.. where they have thier customer service office at 16133 Ventura Blvd. Encino CA. And the calls are not coming from that place. If you want i will let you know where all the calls made, but not that as simple for me, coz i work there, and i need money to provide my needs.. (if you could replace my salary in exchange of pointing our whereabouts, why not) but for me its not a scamm if youd see the zipweb site. you can see a lot of clients are zipweb customers and thier business are all listed.. maybe some says that this is scam, its because they can't pay or lets say they hard to pay $49.95 per month. i should say scammers scam a huge amount for every single customer.. well anyway like what i have said. i will show you where the calls maid if if you replace my earnings, or if you give me rawards.. i dont need to give you my email. just leave a message in this forum... if yopu are interested,, below as the part of spiel that we use when we talk to customers... this spiel a sample of my proof, that i work with zipweb...this spiel is not complete and its cut every paragraph.... bye
Hi, is this (Business Name)?
Great, may I please speak
(ask for the Owner/Manager & ask for name.)?
Good Morning/ good afternoon (first name) you are the
Owner /Manager for the business correct?
Good thank you!
* * My name is ___________ with (Area’s) local Zip-Web
(ZipWeb – is an online local search engine)
* * We’re calling to let you know you’ll be the featured (business category) on Zipweb, Google, Yahoo, AOL and MSN for (Area) next month. We need to make sure your information’s up to date ahead of time, so if you’ve got just 5 minutes now I can take down the basics – like your correct address, etc – and then we can mail the rest of the information to you for confirmation, OK?
* * We’ll display your business name as (Business Name), at (Address, City, State, Zip), correct?
* * Is that also your business mailing address?
(What is your physical address?)
* * And we have this number, (recite BTN slowly), as the main phone number for (Business Name), correct?
GREAT: - There’s no charge whatsoever for being the featured local business next month and as you know the business that
pops up first, usually gets the most costumers, so next moth should be a good one. If you don’t want to give up your featured position afterwards, you can keep it for as long as you like for just
$49.95 / month - & no one else in your category can be featured until you choose to give it up, - there’s no contracts – so, you simply let us know, if and when, you want to let it go.
* * We’ll mail, a confirmation to you today, and then, an account rep will follow up with you later, so you can let them know if you want to keep it, once you’ve seen what it’s doing for your business, OK?
* * If you do decide to keep it, it can be conveniently billed via your monthly local telephone statement
-and website designers, web hosting and technical assistance are all provided at no extra charge, - so it’s great value, and great local exposure for your business - billThey called about 7 times in the past hour...
They are very annoying and call at least 4-5 times a day even after you tell them you are not interested. - GranPa ChuckA real waste of time these telemarketers. You are throwing away your money since there are so many other FREE Ways to get your name out there on the web. Not to mention MicroSoft will even give you a free webspace with no popups commercials etc..
- scam busterThis company has been calling for for several months. Finally one picks the phone up today so I start drilling them. Many of the calls are usually dropped. They claim to be doing a promotion that is going to feature my business next month on top search engines (Google, Yahoo, AOL, MSN), they also claim to be a major with their www.zipwideweb.com site which is a very cheap web presence. What they do not tell you is that they are going to feature their own www.zipwideweb.com on major search engines and customers they sign up will never know that unless they ask and that the person searching will type in their company name only if they know that they are advertising with ZWW.
They also said that they have a working relationship with Google and other major search engines. Well. I called Google and they don't. This has been confirmed with a call to Google. As for top searches that come up on the zipwideweb.com site is the Google Adsense which they have listed. Which it sounds like they want you to click on their adsense links so they then make money from the Google Adsense program. If they get 100,000 calls a day and several 100k, 200k 300k clicks on adsense then they made out pretty darn good with Google.
One rep says that they also landed Home Depot as an account. I have yet to find any relation to Home Depot. What I did find is that their main company or what they say is their main company has a website www.evisibility.com.
Best thing to do is to report them to the FCC, BB, FTC. for drop calls and scams.
Call their clients and tell them about the listing here on www.whocallsme.com.

What I have yet to understand is with this type of bad reputation why they have McDonalds, Ameriquest Mortgage, Kellstrom, Lamps Plus, Prudential, Chicago Title, LEI Financial, Fidelity National Title, Flight Saftey Academy, Jitterbug, SportClips, and MagMall as clients.
They also list on the www.evisibility.com to have an affiliation and partnership with Google, Yahoo, Sempo, Web Analytics, BBB Accredited Business, Member of 2007 Topseos.com
Max Furniture. CLP Lawyers, Q-Industries is also listed as a testimonial and case studies.- Caller: Unavailable (zipwideweb)
- TGSuggestion. After you store their name as "Junk" (or whatever), edit the name in your contacts and change the ringer to "none". Now you don't even know they called.
- Caller: CUST. CONTACT DIV
- suzipThey have called 4 times this morning and hung up. I just called that number and talked to Nicholas and asked him to remove my number. I will post back if they still call. If you don't see a post back. it means they quit!
- RobinI just got a call at work from these folks. When they finally got around to saying "your first month is free" I hung up.
Don't even give out any information. They probably just got the information on you from your web site. When they call and ask to "update" your information, it gives the impression that you have already advertised with them. It is possible to make a recording from the call, and splice it together so that when you say "yes" to any question, they make it seem like you agreed to their scam. - TRCZipweb.com Soliciting online Website. Suspicious approach. May be slamming.
- Caller: ZipWeb.Com
- MikeUsually calls about six times a day. We have three numbers at this store and I called and easliy had all three numbers removed
- Caller: Interenet Search Program
- Mari GrosseI too was scammed. I received a phone call and I was told that I would receive a free month of their service and that they would call me to ask if I wanted to continue receiving their service and begin billing. I never received a phone call after the month and never authorized billing. I noticed that they began billing me a few months later as I have automatic phone payment and did not notice. They produced an audio that clearly stated that they would have to contact me for billing approval yet they were unable to produce an audio confirming that I indeed approved billing and then claimed to have attempted to reach me 3 times and were unable to so therefore, proceeded to bill me without authorization. I have a business, you can always contact me, the phone will always be answered. They were unwilling to help and I spoke with a Christine and Craig (managers). I have reported them to my phone service provider and demanded that my money be refunded. Do not do any business with these scammers.
- Caller: Zipweb
- Mrs. BrownStarted calling yesterday, I answered today, there was a delay, when the woman said hello, I hung up. I am on the Do Not Call List, so after reading all this, I reported them for calling me in the first place, I have been on there since December. I would advise everyone who has been on the Do Not Call List for at least 31 days to do the same, you can report them online at donotcall.gov
- areuseriousFor everyone posting ridiculous comments on this site, get a life. A, you probably have bad hearing because I do business with them and have been nothing but happy. B, I pay attention when someone asks me questions and talks to me on the phone, you all apparently don't and didn't when speaking with them. C, If you notice them calling you the first, second or even third time, why are YOU avoiding them, you can seize the call by answering the phone the first time. If you are all business owners, I highly doubt you are in your establishment 24 hours a day 7 days a week, lets all take the time to grow up. You aren't giving them a chance and you base your opinions on reading these dumb blog sites of lazy owners who know no better.
- Ralph TramontanaMy 10 minute call on the answering machine just consisted of backround noise. I did not get a real message.
