received a call at 9 pm 1-800-251-5850 who are these idiots.   how can I block unwanted numbers

Have received several calls for a political survey, I have asked numerous times to be removed and have not!!!

Called my place of employment, I answered, and they said... oh, I must have the wrong number... I asked who they were looking for and they hung up.....   Waste of time.

This number has called me at least 5 times this week. I didn’t answer because caller ID said suspected scam. They left no message any time and I didn’t call back.

People going around no call registry.

They call every evening!  No one on the line!

MANY OF THESE CALL NUMBERS SEEM TO ORIGINATE FROM THE SAME SOURCE OR CALL CENTER.
When you get any kind of unsolicited calls (robo generated or not) and you get a live person from the caller, when they greet you or ask you a question you just respond "What do you lying cork soakers want to scam me out of today?"  If they respond or not just keep repeating your opening phrase over and over and over whatever they say or try to respond with.  Do this until THEY hang up.  If we all respond like this to all unsolicited and illegal calls they will soon get the message.  I do this with all unsolicited illegal calls whether if is from Microsoft about computer errors, the IRS or someone wanting to sell back braces or "Rachel" from credit card services.  I am on the DO NOT CALL list so that makes them fair game  Try it!

Got a call tonight, 7/30/2018 @ 8:11p.m I answered and I hear "The Purge" then they hung up. A lady's voice, trying to sound all creepy I guess. What a waste of my time!

Thanks for the heads up about phony political calls, right before an election.  Tis the season, and I will BLOCK if they repeat, since I track ALL these calls.  Caller did not respond to repeated hellos, so I finally hung up.

Persistent and irritating!  Talked to a live person conducting some sort of survey, and asked for my son,  My son has not lived with us for a while, and does not use our home phone for his calls.  GOOGLE provides these callers with our names and addresses, even though we are unlisted.  Maybe we should research GOOGLE using Bing, and contact GOOGLE execs, and see if they like these calls?

Received 5 calls from this number in the past two days.Answered once and the person on the other just mumbled so I hung up. The last time they called I just simply said stop calling here.

Calks all the time.  I use a rape whistle,  generally takes care of the caller.

2 calls from this number in 5 minutes.  Answered the 2nd and told them to get lost.

No message left, but blocked due to references here.
