- ANGRYNOW| 2 repliesWHATEVER IDIOT IS AT THIS NUMBER CALLED MY CELL PHONE 3 TIMES NOW ALREADY TODAY WHILE I AM AT WORK BUT THE STUPID PANSY NEVER LEAVES A VOICEMAIL. TOO BAD I CAN'T STICK MY HAND THROUGH THE PHONE AND CHOKE THE LIVING YOU KNOW WHAT OUT OF THIS MORON SO THEY'LL FINALLY STOP BOTHERING ME!!!!!
- Caller: Unknown
- DNC ListThis number has called my cell 3 times today! Does not leave message -- I think that any legit caller would leave a message and if they are not legit they need to ck the 'Do NOT Call List' as my number is there!
- Opiate X replies to ANGRYNOWThe number that called you is US Bank. I think it's an automated call but it's stupid that they don't leave a message identifying who has called.
- FalconI have received several calls with no messages from 8002858585.
I agree, it this were a legit organziation than messages would be left, but there are never any messages left and it is really becoming annoying.- Caller: ?
- EgigikI got called by this number twice in the am and twice in the pm. Never answered and they left no message. I see some people say it's USBANK...I know 3 people who work at the branch I bank with and whenever there's business to discuss, it's usually one of them who calls. No messages looks too fishy for me.
- Caller: 800 825-8585
- ManateeThis is US Bank, department: Card member service (check back of your debit card/credit card for proof)
its an automated system which will call for different reasons mostly card related, if you recieve a call and your not a customer than most likely a US bank customer used your current number(cell phone companies do recycle numbers or maybe the customer gave a fake number).
For privacy it may not leave a message and its just a machine used for reminders or to patch you to a represenative.- Caller: US Bank
- Call type: Event reminder
- THIS IS U S BANK replies to RIVERGIRL| 4 repliesThis is their "Fraud Protection" line. They call when your card is used more than normal or if you are a new customer to establish your use pattern.
All to protect you from fraud, and / or misuse. - RonThis is U S Bank's Credit Card Fraud Protection. If they call you, there's a chance that your card is being used in an abnormal manner, or in an area that you typically don't use it.
Both of these use patterns will trigger a call, and sometimes if you don't answer, your card will be BLOCKED until you call, if you are indeed using your card in a different from normal pattern.- Caller: U S BANK
- Sick of these calls replies to ANGRYNOWI also got 3 calls today to my cell phone -while at work-, Aug 21 from that number. I just ignore the call, but no one leaves any message. If I dont recognize the number, and no one leaves a message, then it is not important, but still they are a pain in the..
- DoubtfulWanted to offer me to drop my interest rates.
I wanted to speak with them AND my husband, I asked for a number to call back and they wouldn't give it to me at first. Eventually the did:
1-800-285-8585- Caller: "Card Member Services"
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Mary| 1 replyHello everyone! THIS IS NOT US BANK CALLING YOU!
I received a call today from a 662 #, I was messing with them and gave them a few made up answers. One was that my credit card was an US Bank card. After messing with them awhile, I hung up. They called back from this 800 #. I messed with them some more. I work for US Bank and told them I work near the credit card fraud department and would go discuss lowering my interest rate with them. The person calling me hung up!! Beware! - BruceJust got a call from this # this afternoon to my cell phone. I'm a US Bank customer who recently had issues with credit card fraud. Didn't answer and when I called back & they wanted my credit card #, I did not give it to them. Then I called US Bank on my land line: they said they had no record of calling me today. Might just not have been showing up in the records yet, OR it might have been phishing. They said I was smart not to give them my CC#. So yeah, this may still be happening in 2017.
- mike replies to THIS IS U S BANKNo, it isn't! Don't give them info. I think someone may be spoofing the bank number and using it to work scams. If someone claims to be from a bank, call that bank directly on the line they have listed with their state's banking commission. Don't get scammed! They use more than this one number, too.
- JessicaI do not have US Bank and just got a call from the number - didn't answer it
- DFThis is your last chance to lower your rates on your credit card
- Caller: No name
- Call type: Telemarketer
- GhostGuy replies to THIS IS U S BANKAnd if you don't have a US Bank card? What would the reasoning be then other than some sort of solicitation or scam?
- Whack-A-ScamI do not believe this is US Bank for the following reasons: 1) I have never been a member of US Bank, ever. 2) I have only ever had this number. And I've had it for the last twenty-odd years. So they're not dialing it because it's a 'recycled number'. 3) I have had fraud protection calls from my real Bank in they have ALWAYS left a message for me or even texted me when necessary. Whoever it is on the other end of this phone number did not leave me a message, therefore they are now blocked.
- Caller: Scam Likely
- Never ScammedYeah I just got hit by these guys today definitely spoofing the cardmember services number. The guy had a thick India accent and said he could lower my apr down to 0% for the life of the card. I asked him what card he was referring to and he said visa or mastercard. I then asked him what VISA he was talking about because I have a few and he said any of them just give them one by one. I told him this sounds like a scam and he told me to shut up and I am stupid which confirmed it was a scam because WHO DOES THAT?!?!
- Caller: FAKE US BANK
