- PA SnowflakeReceived a call from: 800-291-0500 stating I "won" a cruise from Sundance Vacations that I entered while I was at the Brad Paisley concert. ( I NEVER went to a Brad Paisley Concert) OK, I WILL "Play along" I said REALLY? I WON? OH MY GOSH, I AM SO EXCITED. I HAVE NEVER WON ANYTHING IN MY LIFE. She said well, then, today is your LUCKY DAY. Congrats on being our lucky winner. I said WHEN CAN I TAKE THE CRUISE? I WANT to make sure I take it before I DIE. She said excuse me? I said recently, I was diagnoised with Cancer (Which I was) and ( I LIED saying THIS PART) NOTHING CAN BE DONE FOR IT, SO, I ONLY have SO MUCH TIME TO LIVE. I WANT TO MAKE SURE I CAN TAKE THIS CRUISE BEFORE I DIE. She said OH, I AM SO SORRY TO HEAR THIS. You can take the cruise anytime you want. I said well, this "Cruise" will be my LAST TRIP, so AT LEAST I KNOW I FINALLY WON SOMETHING BEFORE MY LIFE COMES TO AN END. She said OH, that is SO SAD. She said normally, we ask for you to come to a 1 hour presentation that we hold for you to claim your cruise, and we ask that you pay the taxes, which are around 300.00, BUT I AM going to "Waive" those for you, since I KNOW the condition you are in. i would HATE for you to miss out on this GREAT EXPERIENCE. I said well, THANK YOU, that is SO NICE OF YOU to do this for me.
She said OK, I am going to verify your name and address. I said OK, go ahead. I was waiting for HER TO ASK ME the information. Instead, she read off my REAL NAME, REAL ADDRESS, and REAL PHONE NUMBER. She said is all this information correct? I said YES, it is. She told me: OK, GREAT. I WILL get your "Packet" in the mail for you today. It will contain your cruise information, air fare information, and a number for you to call to let them know what date you want to travel. ALSO, you WILL BE included gift cards for: Red Lobster, Olive Garden, and Golden Corral. I said WOW, THIS IS GREAT. I STILL CANT BELIEVE I WON. FINALLY, SOMETHING GOES RIGHT FOR ME FOR ONCE IN MY LIFE. She said OK, well, again, I would like to congratulate you on winning this Cruise. I am putting EVERYTHING into the mail for you as we speak. You SHOULD be receiving it before the end of the week. You take care of yourself and have a wonderful trip and a wonderful day. I said THANK YOU. YOU REALLY MADE MY DAY. She hung up on me after that-lol
I KNOW I WONT be receiving ANYTHING in the mail, BUT I figured they want to "Play Games" I can play right along with them.- Caller: Sundance Vacations

- KJHCalled at 8:30 at night to tell me about the vacation I had won... Told me pretty much what everyone else here is saying... I just told her that we worked the next day which is the truth and that we couldn't find the time to take a four hour trip just to hear more sales pitches like hers... We filled out our info at a linkin park/30seconds to mars concert... We thought it was for a chance to win an all expenses paid trip... But you know they are just like here just fill this out and we are like sure whats the worse that could happen we don't win... Now lord only knows who has all that information...

- PhotoNinjaFiance and I filled out cards at a home and remodel show (grand prize of money to fix the house drawn later that mo (Jan). I know that is how I got on the call list (funny he has not gotten any calls, just me). We knew this would probably happen, so our fault for taking the initial bait. They don't let up though, which is my issue. Calls while I'm at work throughout the day, calls at 8:30 at night.
First call that I mistakenly answered was in Jan to notify me that the was the prize will be drawn the first week of Feb and they wanted to give an update... (okay) but then... I also won a great prize now (free trip!) and need to come down at (lists times that were impossible for me to make anyways) to claim it. Said I'd call back at a later time and didn't call back. Calls stop briefly, but have been coming in again, and the voicemails again say I "won a prize, it's no joke! Just need to come down and claim it at their center". Call back to find that the grand prize drawing hasn't happened (but you're still in the drawing for this year) but they're doing something awesome and I've won a trip (again...).
So, this time, I called back, and I told the person that I do not fly because I have a fear of flying (true, actually) and that it would require a lot of alcohol to get me drunk enough to get on a flight because I won't step foot on a plane (not entirely from the truth here, either). Call goes to hold music promptly... and then hangs up on me.
Not impressed, Sun Dance. They have you call back an 800 number with an extension (that makes it sound legit, right? an EXTENSION), but that person is never available when you call. The person you get is all too willing to help. They call from numbers that show up with the same area code that your phone is from (trickery...). If I'm entering in to win money to fix my house, I obviously am not going to spend a few hundred in taxes for a trip, even if it is any level of legitimate. It's the bait and switch thing that I don't appreciate from the company. I guess we'll see if I continue to get calls...
Ignore it, or mess with them. Won't be filling out anything in the future when we go to the next home show.- Caller: Sundance Vacations

- AmyBridget indicated that I won a contest that I entered at the DC AutoShow. I do not know how they got my number, but I did not enter any contests at the show.

Do what I did.. Start calling them back, over and over and over. If you get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, call them, ask them how they like it. They'll learn.- Caller: sundance

- PJ| 1 replyI submitted a sweepstakes entry on 9/23/18 at Deptford Mall, Deptford, NJ to win a Jeep through (Mark) Pellegrino Auto Sales, 815 Black Horse Pike, Williamstown, NJ. (856) 237-1227. After about 2 months, I started to receive frequent annoying calls from "Sundance Vacations". My efforts, in the beginning, to NICELY tell them I am not interested did not work, and I continued to get calls as early as 8am. Like most people, I do not answer unknown numbers, but I was curious to know if I won the Jeep. Obviously, I did not. I have to assume that Pellegrino Auto Sales sold my cell phone number to them without my knowledge or consent. Due to the fact that I have not answered or returned any calls from them, they have become less frequent. The lesson learned here is to never give out your cell phone number.

- B-Edwards replies to PJIf you read the fine print on those cards, you will see there is about a 1 in 300 billion chance you will win anything. So now you know how your info gets out to scammers and crooks; you provide it willingly.
- AshleyCaller ID showed number 330-460-5754 (Ohio area code). Left a VM, said his name was JJ from Sundance Vacations and I was selected after filling out a form at the Pittsburgh Zoo last year (2018), that they've been trying to get a hold of me since the New Year since the drawing was end of 2018. This is the first call I have received, and I did visit this zoo last year, but I don't remember filling anything out. Gave me the 1-800-291-0500 ext 781 to call him back right away.

- MwbarnhartI "won" a Marriot vacation and an Amazon fire tablet. They said it was from a entry on Ticketmaster. I don't use Ticketmaster, I use StubHub or SeatGeek. I checked my TM account anyway and nothing was purchased.
