- LorieI have been getting a call daily for almost a week now from this number. I picked it up the first time, than googled the number, read these messages. Now I let it go to my voicemail. Let's see how patient they are. BTW, my verizon contract is up for renewal since few months.
- F. FlintstoneI've been getting calls from this number for some time now. They never leave a message. I called back 3 times today and finally got somone to answer. She said her name was Maria, with Verizon, and was calling to offer me 2,000 bonus minutes if I renew my contract. I told her I was not interested and that I wanted to be placed on the "do no call" list. She said that she would take care of that for me and to have a nice day. She was polite, but I'm not sure about the "do not call list", since I am a Verizon customer.
From the FCC website: "The Do-Not-Call registry does not prevent all unwanted calls. It does not cover ... calls from organizations with which you have established a business relationship."- Caller: Verizon
- F. FlintstoneOkay, now it's about 5 hours later and they sent a txt msg offering "1 month free access + $100 credit on any phone", IF I "upgraded" to another 2 yr. contract (not bloody likely), and that I could opt out by replying "X". So I did, and immediately rec'd another txt msg telling me that if I did not want to rec'v further marketing msgs to reply "Q", so I did...
Now I'm wondering if I'll get one asking me to reply "Z"... ;) I *think* I'm about done with Verizon anyway. I've been trying out a pre-paid Net10 phone for the last few weeks, and it seems to be working out okay. The Customer Service blows, as it's actually someone in India who I can just barely understand. It's 10 cents/minute & 5 cents/txt msg with no service fee, and I am supposed to get 100 bonus minutes each time I add minutes to the phone, so this may work out to be cheaper than the plan I have at Verizon.- Caller: Verizon
- F. FlintstoneWell they called and hung up on me again today! When I called back and talked to Jason he was rude and continued to interrupt me, and talk over me telling me about these "wonderful" special offers. Honestly, I can't recall ever talking to anyone involved in "customer service" as rude as this a**hole.
I hung up and immediately called Verizon Customer Service (*611) and spoke to Angela, and explained the situation to her. She assured me that I would not receive any further marketing calls. I assured her that if I did I would be calling back to cancel my account with Verizon. What a crappy way to treat customers!- Caller: Verizon
- techossget calls 3 to 4 times a week. these guys really are horrible - ometimes they tlk sometimes not - when they do its that stupid sale from verizon ugh
- MicaelaThis number rings on my cell phone almost every day!!! Please someone find out how to stop this abuse. No one leaves a message.
- kI get this call frequently now too - same as above, silent on the other end. I think I'm just going to have it blocked if I can. I'm a verizon customer.
- CDSreceive calls from this number every day for the past month... - it rings half of a ring and stops.
Usually in the morning and around lunch time - 12:30ish, 1245ish.
I just called the number and it said "thank you for calling verizon wireless" - F. FlintstoneApparently Verizon does not place very much value on their customers once their contract expires. I called them twice and explained that I was not interested in another contract, and to please stop calling me and hanging up. So, since they couldn't be satisfied with me as a month-to-month customer, now they can just do without me as a customer at all! I just called and cancelled my service with them.

- annoyedI receive a call from this number several times a day. I called the number back from my land line and they answered with "Thanks for calling verizon wirless". I asked why they called me and she said "I will need your phone number" which I refused to give to her. I then said that I would call the number on my bill and hung up on her. I then called the Verizon Customer Service folks and they said that they would NEVER call and just hang up or not leave a voicemail, so this is obviously a scam.
- Very Upset!I too get these calls every day about 3-4 times a day. I am so sick of it! I just got off the phone with Verizon Wireless and they gave me a different Verizon Wireless phone number to call. They said to call the CMO department at 1-800-735-7744. They are closed right now so I will have to call in the morning. I was told by Verizon Wireless customer service that this is the way to get off of their list. So , I will call tomorrow. I hope the rest of you will call too and get off the list. Good luck!

- phspKept receiving these calls... no message... when I would pick up nobody answered. Thanks to this and other forums online I chose NOT to call the number back. Instead I called customer service (611) and asked them to investigate.
The guy told me it WAS a verizon number and asked if I wanted him to connect me to the rep who was trying to reach me to find out what they wanted. I told him absolutely not and to remove me from the solicitation list since I am on the cell phone do not call list already.
They were happy to comply. Is verizon really that desperate they have to stoop to such a low level to retain customers? This really turns me off...- Caller: verizon wireless
- phspps. I am a verizon wireless customer.
- voreSame thing with me...caller ID shows the number but I never pick the phone up...every day even Sundays. I have a suspicion that there checking to see if the phone number their calling is working so they can do follow up calls and pass it on to other telemarketers.
- Caller: ?????
- phspUpdate: I received another call today. The rep told me I would be removed from the "solicitation list" and the calls would cease.
I just filed a complaint with the FTC do not call website.
