I just got off of the phone with Maria at *611. Here's what I found out: Log into your VZW account online. Edit your profile. Edit CPNI settings. CPNI (Customer Proprietary Network Information Settings) will be default set to either on or allow. You must click Don't share. Maria said this should stop the phone calls.

The Verizon Presidential hotline # is 1-800-483-7988, it is actually call Verizon Executive Customer Advocacy. They are very nice.The other # 1-800-780-0753 is only a tech line they do not have the complaint #. As a former operator we were instructed to not give out this # because every call center is allowed so many presidential complaints against them. So i would advise using this # because they take care of business, and no manager wants a executive complaint filed on there center. I call my local 411 (were I had work) yesterday and today no one could give me this # 1-800-483-7988. Executive complaints do get taken care of.

2-3 times i receive a call from the 800 # on my home phone and my cell phone.  the caller will not leave a message or let the phone ring long enough 4 me 2 answer.  my contract is also up with verizon and has been for 4 months.  i gotten several offers in the mail but i had no idea the calls are from them too.  its annoying and i want them 2 STOP!

Someone called from this number but hangs up when I pick up the phone.

I've been getting several calls a day, lately--at different times of day, each day. I've been letting it go to my answering machine after 3 rings, but usually they hang up just as that happens. Today, I answered after the second ring, saying "Please stop calling this number," but I think they were already in the process of hanging up.

I don't answer if I don't know the number but they don't leave messages either.  They have called several times but no message.

I was thinking about renewing my verizon contract, till I started getting these calls from 1-800-310-5479.

So now I have decided not to renew ,and furthermore I added the number to my phone as ZZz Verizon Spam, and set it not to ring when that number calls.

Annoying calls

I get these calls at different times during the day but never pick up.  I have caller ID so I see the number.  Don't they realize that people have that option and will not pick up unknown calls.

called at 10:57am, no voice mail. Seems like it is some sort of telemarkter. Where do you report this abuse?

Also have gotten from 702-444-4939. These numbers must be shut down!! isn't cell phone telemarketing illegal???

I get calls from this number 2-3 times a week.  No message is ever left on the machine.

This number calls me everyday around 3:30 and I know it's Verizon. My contract expired last week and even though I've told every single representative who has called that I'm done with their service once I get an iPhone, they just don't stop calling. This is not a way to keep me as a customer by bothering me at work. Can't wait til the lines die down at Apple and I can cancel my service with Verizon.
