- AnonyI have received lots of calls from many different numbers but I do have a delinquent B of A car loan that I spoke with someone about last night, they did ask by SS#. It seems legit, but no one answered when I picked up the phone.
- lindaI called it back its bank of america scam
- Caller: bank of america
- Momma| 1 replyThis is Bank of America, its legit, I signed up for automatic payments and something went wrong and I missed a payment on my car loan and had no idea I skipped a month. They were calling to let me know but everytime I answered I was on hold so I hung up. I then googled the number and saw it was BOA and I logged onto my account and I had a late payment!! Pick this call up!!
- Caller: Bank of America
- Melissa replies to MarkI actually just called BOA by the number I have and he said that the 386-4017 number is actually an automated number from BOA collections.
- Sven replies to mmmmnaThis is the best advice in the world. don't Ever give any information to somebody that is calling you. And don't take a phone number they provide. What a scam. Even if you believe it's legit, phone numbers are easy to spoof.
- NancyJust received a call from this number stating the person was Cadero Page from Bank of America and asking for some Manjit Singh or Preet. I told her no one by those names lived here. Then she started asking me about myself and who I was. That's when my suspicions were raised. Will call Bank of America and see who they have on file with my phone number
- Caller: Bank of America
- Call type: Valid
- BrittanyGot a call on my cell asking for husband, told them this was his wife phone number, proceeded to tell me they were Bank of America and wanted to verify info on a loan on our rv starting with the address, told them no, it’s weird they are calling my cell phone when I’m not on the rv loan and looking for my husband, told them I will call bank myself. Called bank and there was no notation of them contacting me, loan payment not yet received but was within grace period and teller said BOA would not have called as not delinquent or past due
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- Charlie replies to former boa collector| 1 replyAre you serious??? How dare you try to scam people into giving out their private information over the phone? PLEASE, THESE ARE SCAM CALLS! IF YOU ARE DOUBT ME, GO DIRECTLY TO A BANK OF AMERICA LOCATION TO CONFIRM IN PERSON!!!!! They will tell you it is a scam.
- Charlie replies to Charlie(If you doubt me- not "if you are doubt me" oops)
- MattI received a vm asking me to call this number back (the call came in from 800-386-4017). When I did, it put me in the wrong language queue, then I got bounced around even though I entered the extension the vm said. The person I finally spoke to said she couldn't find my account by my phone number - the number they called me at and the same one I've had on file with them for 18 years. She then asked for my SSN. I hung up, called BofA, made sure everything was okay with my loan. I then gave them the number and the gentleman I was speaking with said it was the main number for their auto-loan dept. I told him it came off as a scam and a lot of people were reporting the same. He said he'd heard that a lot and was hoping they'd address it soon.
