My wife complained last month that she was receiving advertising text messages on her phone. I did not think a whole lot about it until I received the bill, which included a line item PredictoMobile for $9.99.
We never signed up for anything like that and I called T-Mobile to inquire about it. Jordan from T-Mobile told me that somebody may have signed up by accident or somebody else signed up for some service using my wifes cell phone number. He was so kind to take off these charge and gave me an 800 number to call to cancel that service.

I got a text from predicto mobile on 11/8/08 (ex:654654) I dont read texts from random numbers I delete them, now I was charged 9.99 for this service , they claimed I signed up @ their website a total lie , then they said I replied to the text another lie, then they said "someone"  must have access to my phone yet another lie. http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm report them to the FCC like I did , DO NOT ALLOW YOUR PHONE COMPANY TO PASS THIS TO YOU they should give you the refund it is their responsibility to protect your account from unauthorized charges. I demanded tmobile give me the refund, once the phone companies start loosing money then they will take action not pass the uck to the consumer thats being scammed.

My son got scammed too. The company was Mobile Messenger.

I did a lot of research and posted it here at Viewpoints (a review site for anyone who wants to review a product or service).

One more tip - don't take "no" for an answer. If they won't pay you back, ask for a manager.

This number is supposed to be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. I do not find this to be substantiated.
When I have called, I do not get an  answer. I did have success with sending the word "stop" from my cell phone to 654654. I have just finished writing a letter to predicto requesting refunds for unwarranted charges to my mobile account. I will continue to try and reach a representative by phone, even though my last contact by phone did not yield any results. I did not receive any refunds either, and have since been charged another $9.99. If I do receive the refunds owed, and the calls to my mobile account stop I will stop any further action. But, if I do not receive satisfactory results for my attempts, I will contact my attorney. Lastly, I will relay my experience online and hopefully help many frustrated people find a solution to this problem. If customer satisfaction really is important to predicto, they will respond fairly and quickly to every customer. The address I have for predicto is:

Both my kids had charges on our bill this month.  I called and cancelled (which was difficult because they kept trying to sell sell sell) I told them both of them were minors (11 and 13)and legally could not sign up.  They did "unsubscribe" them after I insisted and I let them know that if they texted these minor children again I would be seeking legal council.  I will also be contacting my phone provider to get the charges removed.

I also got the 654-654 text, the first time I just deleted it.  The second time I called my service provider.  They told me I had signed up for some Premium Texting something and had been charged $9.99.  I explained that I just deleted it and never replied.  They informed me that by opening the stupid text I had agreed to the charge.  Well they refunded the charge and helped me to stop it from happening again by putting a block on my phone. You have to open it to read whom it is from. But how can our provider allow someone else to charge on our accounts? I'm all for suing.

Damn the scam!!! Most of us are just plain old hard working Americans, just trying to make an honest living. Then come along these scammers who are just plain too lazy to go out and make an honest living. They would rather dip their hands into our pockets. This must be somehow against the law. Where do we find relief from the thieves who would rob each and everyone of us of what we work so hard for. There must be a way for all of the honest folks to take a united stand against these thieves and put a stop to this infestation that plagues our country. I will be looking for any suggestions on this web site. If anyone has the answer please share with all of us who are the victims of these criminals.

We are sorry to hear about your experience.  Please be aware that we at PredictoMobile take customer satisfaction very seriously and would like to address any concerns you may have.  You can call us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 800-360-0518 so that we can resolve your inquiry; you can also contact our customer service at http://predicto.com/support or by sending an SMS message with the word ”HELP” to 654654.  Keep in mind, we post our toll-free customer service number on our website and include it in SMS messages we send to your cell phone.

Please note we use an industry best practice double opt-in to prevent inadvertent or fraudulent sign-ups.  To enroll in our service, a prospective member must first submit their cell phone number on the PredictoMobile sign-up page which clearly explains our terms and conditions including the monthly price of the service and billing to the cell phone.  We then send a text message to their cell phone which again discloses the essential membership terms.  They then must correctly enter the PIN on our website or reply with a confirmation SMS message from their cell phone to activate the account.  The double opt-in process and clear disclosures ensures a high level of consumer protection and satisfaction.  If a member wants to cancel the service, they can simply text “stop” to 654654 or call Customer Service or go to http://predicto.com/support.

We hope this addresses any concerns you may have; if not please contact us and we’ll take care of your issues.

    Sincerely,

    Customer Service

I don't know if I have had any calls, but my phone bill lists the 9.99 charge for Atzmi text messages. I don't even know how to text.  I don't ever use it. I did find messages they had sent. I am sorry I ever explored that site, and have been searching in vain online for access to their site to cancel the "subscription" to their text messages. I never knowingly signed up for their stuff. I don't even like their messages. What a double injury to be charged 9.99 a month for them and not know how to cancel. I am with the person who said he/she hoped the "karma thing" would really rage down on them. Let's be part of that rain. I will try some of the suggestions on this site. This group needs to be exposed.

    Dear Predicto Customer Service rep,

Did you apalogize to hundred thousands of customers who were billed just because previous customer got billed for your services and are represented in the class action filed on 9/17/2009 in te Eastern District of Michigan.

    For info see http://www.courthousenews.com/2009/09/18/Alltel2.pdf

For information, you don't need to use your cell-phone to get scammed(billed by Predicto Mobile). Buying a new cell phone may get you charged $9.99 per month (or more when you get multiple subscriptions) by Predicto because the cell phone number you get is a 'recycled' phone number.

'Recycled' phone number means that your new cell-phone number previously belonged to a subscriber who for any reasons (moving or avoiding Predicto Scam) decided to drop her old phone number. ‘Recycled’ cell phone numbers may have lot of contracts attached to them.

Usually cell phone companies send lists of these cell phones to providers like Predicto to clear them from any contracts.

A class action was filed on 09/17/2009 against Predicto Mobile LLC in the Eastern District of Michigan (http://www.courthousenews.com/2009/09/18/Alltel2.pdf) for charging new cell-phone users and ignoring the lists sent by Alltell (Cell-phone company) who send Predicto updated lists of 'recycled' phones to clear from any contracts.

According to the document, Predicto just ignored lists of canceled cell-phones provided by Alltel but also Verizon, T-mobile, Sprint, and others cell-phone providers.

Predicto just transferred old subscribers bills to new subscribers: it's simmple and it’s their way to do business.

To my understanding any subscriber who subscribed to any cell-phone company who has a Predicto contract dated before the date their cell-phone contract started is entitled to a full refund including past due interests.

Hundreds of thousands subscribers are affected.

    More information at http://news.findlaw.com/andrews/bt/tel/20090922/20090922_pratt.html

A new class action needs to be prepared for actual unauthorized billing without previous contract on cell-phone. We may have to hurry as I do not know if there will be enough money left to pay us back.

Please check old people bill as well as kids bills: look for $9.99 Premium text messaging in your detailed bills.

Please spread the words and the links.

Predicto Scam is a kind of pyramid scheme to pay back previous customers who are entitled for refund by court in previous cases.

After I recouped with some other lawsuits, Eyal Yechezkell, Predicto Mobile CEO already helped to found another company called Email Discount Network (EDN) and guess what?

EDN was sued in Florida, Washington State, and Georgia for the same type of scam Predicto is spreading today.

See Washington State Office settlement agreement (EDN)
    http://www.atg.wa.gov/pressrelease.aspx?id=14424

    See Georgia Settlements (EDN)
    http://www.lawyersandsettlements.com/settleme ... d-cramming.html#

    See Georgia Subscriber Refunds
    http://www.georgia.gov/00/article/0,2086,5426814_5684686_80061913,00.html

    See State of Florida complaint:
    http://myfloridalegal.com/webfiles.nsf/WF/JFAO-6U3MJB/$file/EDNComplaint.pdf

See Predicto Mobile CEO on YouTube (the guy will appear in the middle of this interview):
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fi8foOw7OXQ

My guess is that Predicto, Predicto Mobile, PredictoMobile, or whatever is using kind of pyramid scheme to pay back previous subscribers with new subscribers just like Madoff in the financial arena.

My question is now: do Cell phone companies ever check customers complains, I just sent a letter with a photocopy of the above documents to Verizon and ask them how they can authorize Predicto Mobile as a 3rd party.

Dear readers, if you have some time, please send these documents to your cell-phone companies (Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon, Alltell, etc…). Hope this document will help get some refund from cell phone providers.
