- Bumble123 replies to Abdulmuttalib KabaniThis is a fraud monitoring service called FIS Global. The number they called you at was provided by your bank or credit union. They service about 5000+ financial institutions for fraud monitoring.
- IFYDKYDG replies to Alex S| 1 replyWow, really? Lol. Look up the definition of Phishing. All this company does is verify the last 4 of the SSN and if you don't want to release that you can verify your mailing address. They provide all other information about transactions, dates and times. All of the information is provided by your Financial Institution who contracts with FIS Global along with about 5000 other banks and credit unions. The smartest thing is to check with your credit union/bank, and a lot of times they can verify for you or transfer to the fraud management team.
- Jim FIt's a real number for a credit card protection service. My VISA card company uses this service and I have been called to confirm purchases. They don't ask silly questions, just name a purchase and asks you to confirm that you made it.
- DCLegit service- in my case they left the name of my credit union and a case #. If you have doubts call the credit union via their customer service #, get transferred to fraud protection department, provide case number. Automated system reads you the suspicious transaction date, time, amount, vendor and asks whether it is a legit transaction. Simple, great service and easy to verify without using the phone number they provide.
- reid conaughtythis is a fake call. don't give them any info.

- Jenn replies to D BrownThat's funny b/c I don't have Visa and I got a call form them about my cc. This is Phishing.
- Jenn replies to IFYDKYDGI deal with this type of fraud everyday, nothing changes, it is still called phishing. You apparently need to do your homework. You always call the bank directly before providing ANY type of personal information. Funny how they hung up on me when I told them I knew it was a fraud call aka PHISHING!
- Doug"Another Mike" may be correct in his guess that there is both 1) a legitimate fraud service and 2) a phishing attempt by a different party. I can say that I receive these voicemails on both my home phone and my business cell phone (that I provided to my credit union) and only receive these voicemails when I travel overseas. I always tell my CU that I'm traveling and it doesn't matter, I receive one each call from this fraud service. My CC has never been locked out, but that may because I notify the CU about my travels and they know well enough to keep it unlocked. Of course I have backup cards just in case.
Now, for a phishing attempt to work, you would have to answer right away rather than listen to voicemail and then call back the legitimate number. It's very easy to spoof this or any other number to show up on caller id. If they call and don't leave a message, it's phish, otherwise it's legit. Again, I agree with "another mike" on this one. - RainbowI received a call, someone was trying to put a big amount on my Visa Card. First, they put through a small amount to check and see if it really works. Someone at this company caught it. The person was in another state. Best to call the number back or at least check your bill when you get it.
- Caller: dont remember
- WLDI also thought the same as being scammers. It is a legit #. Fraud alert based on my Credit Union. Checking why I live in one state and have charges in another. (My husband was working out of state). Glad they were on top of it case someone was using my card numbers.
- Caller: Fraud Alert
- DustyweedThis is a scam . . . .
- Caller: Recording
- oldmanthis is a legitimate credit card service company and they contacted me in regards to several fraudulent charges made on my credit union cred card within the time span of two hours
- Caller: credit card services
- Call type: Event reminder
- Be carefulThey left a message on my phone. Call claimed they were the fraud dept. for credit union (message was for a person that wasn't me and no one I know). Called the credit union named directly after reading other reports here and their fraud dept. did not show that they had tried to make any contact with the person named and the credit union rep said the number was not for a company they use. The person the message was for had my phone number listed as theirs and I wanted to make sure it wasn't a case of identity theft.(It was likely an old number of that person that I now have).
Bottom line: Call the credit union DIRECTLY (not the number given in the message) to verify whether this is a legitimate call or not. (Don't just ignore it in case it is a case of identity theft, which thankfully doesn't appear to be the case in this instance.) The credit union acct rep was very helpful, removed the incorrect phone number and put a note in the actual customer's file to follow-up. While there may be instances when this is a legitimate fraud detection call, it appears this time it was a phishing scam. - SharkiebobThis is legit. We have a VISA card through our credit union. Initially, I wasn't sure they were legit but they provided me with the account and information. There was fraudulent activity on the card and it was caught.
- JerryVery Legit number. Just verifying that a card usage was me. Appreciate this service.
- AttyFXI do not have a DCU card but was still contacted by this company. Something about this smells like fraud. Be careful and do not give them any financial information.
- Caller: VISA Fraud prevention DCU
- RavenerLike the others have said, appears to be a credit card service number to check on recent transactions. Called the number back but they kept me on hold for over 4 min so I just hung up. They can call back if they need me.
- Call type: Event reminder
- BobThis number is OK, I ignored the call then called my credit union directly, turns out someone tried to use my card # and they were trying to get in touch with me.
- Caller: Credit Union
