No Name - But Quick Tax Software

This call is from Intuit (TurboTax, Quickbooks, Quicken, etc)

Call from Intuit trying to upsell my QuickBooks software to include payroll.

As of 10-22-08 this appears to be someone else, possibly a phish.  The recording says it's Middlesex Savings Bank, calling to alert me that my credit card has been turned off.  They want me to press "1" to connect to their Security department to turn it back on.  Hmm.  Smells phishy to me.

This number has called my office 3 times in 30 minutes starting at 7:20am and hanging up each time.  If they are really doing sales calls as per the previous notes, they definately will not. Who calls a business at 7:20 in the morning to upsell my software?

I get calls from this number all the time, but they never leave a message, just 62 seconds of silence.

The woman calling claimed to be from "Quickbooks", sorry that is their product not their company name - first red flag!
calling to confirm your automatic renewal information- contact and account info - Second Red Flag!! Our account has been on this program for years!
Our Caller ID - shows SUT ACD 03921 - from the 446-8848 number, yet her "call back" was completely different and she included a "direct" extension.  - 3rd red flag!!!
I should be able to call "Intuit" directly and get to this same dept.- which I would recommend anyone to do if you receive a call from this number!!!

Called at 6:22am at my home office.  Rang twice, didn't leave a message.  I am a customer of Intuit.  I doubt this is really QuickBooks or Intuit calling.

Some called guy telling me my tax return was wrong and I was due more money. He wanted my Social to update my files. Uhm...NO!  I hung up on him and he called right back.  Hung up on him again and he kept calling to the point of annoyance that I turned off my phone.

I just received a message from this company and they used profanity every other word saying I never pick up my %$##$%#%$# phone.  Such vulgar language through the whole conversation.  Very eery what they said.  I think they need to be reported to the Police which I am getting ready to do.

Some guy left a message (without leaving his name) for Tom "returning your earlier call" - there's nobody named Tom here.  Anyway, he left a different number as his "direct" number - with a 4-digit extension number.  Google says it's a tax software business.

Quicken's practices aren't that much off from phishing scams.  This call is legitimately from Quicken, but it's an outsourced desk.  In recent years Quicken has relied on upselling schemes and incomplete products that they charge for "premium" features that should be free, given the cost of their product.

This call is legitimately from Intuit.  Where you saw SUT ACD 03921 on the Caller ID, is because it came from one of their outsourced companies.  SUT ACD 03921 means that it came from a phone at Sutherland Global Services and whoever is at extension 03921 in the center they called from.  That's how their phone systems work.  (I used to work for Sutherland and Intuit, if you can't tell).

Sometimes we can be overly suspicious, this is Intuit thanking me for using the Gopayment product and letting me know about all the ways I can get help and support.  They were not selling anything or asking for any personal info. They were polite and friendly.  Yes they called at 11:00 am Saturday, my business is open on Saturday too.  How many businesses can you think of that are open on Saturday morning?  Isn't that great!?

This is Inuit (QuickBooks, Quicken, etc.) I had issues with my QB software yesterday and was on the phone with tech support for over 4 hours. They asked me if I would like to sign up for the credit card deal. I told them I would pass, but would look into it later. They called me the very next day. So they are who they say they are, but the fact they called so soon confirms what I already know from being on the phone with them yesterday...........they are very pushy in sales but will back off immediately once you say you're not interested.

I just checked my bank account and this number was on it and they withdrew 64 dollars out of my account without my knowledge.

Their robo calls to buy their software are calling my government cell phone.

Really funny, not sure I trust their products any longer
