This # called my cell at 6 pm, i did not recognize the # so I did not answer it. A message was not left.

I got a call at the same time on the 22 Jan 09. The companys name is URI.  I dont know why they would call me.

They are a survey company. THey called me about my homeowner's insurance.

called at 2:43pm, figured it must be a solicitor, I did not answer, no message left

called me at 12:30 did not pick up

Really tired of gettings calls from this company.

these telemarketers hiding behind false names are wasting my time. I made a list of these mfsobs and block their calls.

Got a call from this number on 10-11-10, at 2:00 pm. I didn't reconize the number, so I didn't answer. I don't know how they got my number, I'm on the do not caal list.

Called my cell Nov 29, 2011 - less than a week after I bought renter's insurance from Progressive.  Didn't leave a message

Following up - seem legit; they left a VM the 2nd time they called, and a reference number; Progressive had some followup questions about a new renters insurance application.  I called them back, it was a fairly brief conversation; I think if I'd ignored them Progressive would have cancelled my policy, so you should probably take their call.

They called me on a legit basis, asking followup questions about a new Progressive renters insurance application that I'd submitted.  So they don't appear to be random scammers.

They called about my automobile policy with AAA. They asked questions that went beyond the scope of my insurance.

Progressive would have canceled your insurance because you refused to answer questions posed by a third party calling out of nowhere? You don't find anything amiss with this picture? You sagely advise other people to put up with this outrage too? Incredible.

Maybe not canceled, but they can't give you discounts if you don't provide them certain documents, which is why they outsource. Outsourcing to a 3rd party saves you money because it means Progressive doesn't have to hire full-time staff for phones.

Plus if you are truly uncomfortable they can transfer you to Progressive or note it in the system. Quit being dramatic.

Called, did not leave message. Called the number back, got automated message identifying number called as "URI Information Services". Doing a search, the URI homepage stated the following:
"Founded in 1961 URI Information Services has provided the Insurance Industry Profit and Performance Improvement Programs for over 50 years. Specializing in the collection, compilation, and reporting of up to date information, URI employs today's technology to help our clients better understand their risks, more accurately rate their policies and better ensure their policyholders are adequately covered in case of a major loss."

BEWARE Survey is a scam!!!  They will ask personal information abut you and sell it to other companies.  If you are smart do NOT answer this number.

My hubby got this call today said it was his insurance company and wanted to update insurance. It was not his company but they knew his companies name.

I do not know this number and won't answer it.

If this company is legit  then ywhy can't they leave a message about what they want to know so the caller can decide to call them back or not or even whether they will answer the next time they call!
