It is Canadian Tire Bank or Canadian Tire Financial Services. They are absolutely RIDICULOUS. We have a credit card that is in good standing. Missed one payment of $20.00 and the number called 10-20 times daily with dead silence on the line. We called back and confirmed that complete balance of $319.00 would be paid and paid it that day. The number continues calling constantly with dead air calls. I called back to complain and was called a liar. the person was very snotty and rude. I am going to look into filing a complaint with the BBB.

I got a call from this number- they wanted to sell me some fissionable Uranium for my car.
I said no thank you and hung up.  Even after they tried to ship me some radioactive Pinoqachole for my car tires!

But they still wish to sell me Uranium, Plutonium and other radioactive materials to help my car run better. You can buy this stuff and your car will run an extra 75,000 Km on one tank of gas!
Maybe it is just a scam? Should I try buying some?

You go ahead and do that - all their calls are recorded so they should have it on tape with that "snotty" rep calling you a liar.  I'm sure you were as nice as pie when you called in after missing your payment.

now for something a bit more sensable, if they dont want to loose money then first of all stop being stupid enough to lend money to people in which the creadet card copanies dont take 5 seconds to ask where the persons  working or if theyve even got a job , so id say its more the loan companes falt then the card user, and there are even folks who are on disability and other pensions who are litterally given a card you might as well say and it dont seem to matter to the lender if the card holder has a job even god you lenders smarten up before you break the country , because if you cant take anything from poor folks why lend it let them work or make due  dont borrow anything  guys and gals , if you have to borrow from a well known   BANK  and dont borrow too much.....thank you

The customer is always right...  Not. replies to none of your business
    1.  It's not illegal to dial a wrong number.
    2.  Less than 1% of people return phone calls when a collector leaves a message on an answering machine - half the time, you don't answer the phone due to call display, so why the hell should a message be left?
    3.  Everyone's situation IS unique, and maybe if you grew a set and spoke to the person on the other end, you might find reasonable alternatives instead of avoiding it like a coward.

Bottom Line:  Lots of people owe money and lots of people pay their bills.  Lots can`t afford it either but have the courage to face it instead of blaming everyone else for their problems.  There are people out there who are sick, with no benefits or have lost spouses or had HUGE problems in their lives...  It`s how you deal with it that makes you moral and just.  I know DAMN straight that I help people every day.  I get told that every single day I work and it`s rewarding when I finally get someone on the phone and I can help them.  And the ones that are self-righteous and all pious, woe is me - you just don`t get it.  You don`t hurt me at all when you don`t answer - I`m glad I don`t have to listen to your horse pucky and can move on to someone who actually cares about their financial obligations and recognizes that I`m not there to beat them down, I`m there to come up with alternatives.   Avoid it - hell avoid me altogether - save me some money on Advil, and let your debt move to third party collections, where the fun really starts for you and sticks with ya for the next 7 years.  Try it and see...

To all those who are having a tough time paying their bills on time: Don't fret! If you are an honest good hearted person and you are struggling to pay credit card debt - PUT FOOD ON THE TABLE FIRST.
NEWSFLASH! In case you didn't know, credit is made up out of thin air! Banks never lend out actual money they have in the bank; they just create it. So when someone defaults on their loan, credit card etc. they don't even flinch. It definitely does not hurt them! It's not the same as borrowing from a buddy, who actually has some value backing the money he lent you i.e.- he traded his time for the cash! In the banking system of today, for it to keep on running it NEEDS a certain amount of people to go bankrupt. Research the history of banking in North America, and then see how much you care about giving up your power to these giant faceless corporations. Their attitude is: If they don't get your money, someone else will! So don't be a wuss! Educate yourself, and stand your ground!
(If you are a lowdown d-bag, who max's out your c-card and has no care about making this world a better place...well, karma's a [***]!)

I didn't recognize the number...so didn't answer...no message left...but if this is Canadian Tire Finance...I don't know why they would be calling for a payment when I just received my card and haven't even received my first statement yet...if they don't want to leave a message...they can pound salt.
