- SisterSays american express is calling, this is not not the telemarketing sales dept. but that they have an important matter to discuss. This was the message he left. Must be nuts to think I will answer their call or return their call, NEVER!

- J. Mathews| 1 replyTotal scam. Called my house as a credit union,Amex, Discover, B of A, IP Voice, unknown caller. I yelled it's a scam and they laughed and called me a sucker.
- Caller: Scammer as 6 different companies
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- T.H. replies to J. MathewsCalled 16 times in one day! Not financial services of any company. Scammers. I don't use banks and don't have credit cards and I called Amex and it's not real #.
- MichaelThis is a scam. They call asking to speak with you by name. They say its from American Express and they are calling for "confirmation." I said what he wanted, careful not to respond affirmatively because they are recording the call. These scammers will use any affirmative responses by you to use later in fraudulently obtaining credit in your name. He repeated by asking to speak to me by name. I said not a chance and hung up.

- MichaelIts a scam. Told the guy to go away when he called and then I got an automated call from 'American Express" and to enter the last four of my SS number. Hung up. If you get the same and give up your information then you're the golden goose they're after.

- AnnoyedI rec'd a call from this number (came up as "XT") I spoke with "Pam" - a self described "Senior Financial Analyst" who wanted to confirm my "impeccable" payment history (news flash "Pam" my payment history is NOT impeccable LOL) she was VERY pushy and didn't seem to know any of the information that should be linked to my account, I kind of believed her since I know I am late (4 days) with the payment and I merged the call with my ex (it's his card in my name - long story) and when she started asking for bank account information and his information to "confirm a good standing on the card and document that a payment was scheduled on my account" I told him to call AMEX directly and hung up. after googling the number I See that this number has basically been SPOOFED and is a legit AMEX customer service number but it is NOT real AMEX people calling, they're running a pretty high level (and fairly believable) phishing scam. Be careful out there people.
- Caller: Fake American Express
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- normanThis is well executed, but a scam. If you get this call, call the number on the back of your card. If you call this number (I did for the hell of it after AMEX told me everything was OK), and it sounds like you are calling AMEX, down to the music when you answer the call. But they are trying to get you enter your social security number and your card number. If you don't get it right, you will speak to a representative who sounds real. Watch out.
- Caller: Robocall scam pretending to be AMEX
- Call type: Scam suspicion
