Harassment is illegal, when no facts to support the claims they cloak their number but they are shysters.

Got a call this am and they kept trying to verify my information but wouldn't tell me who they are or why they were calling. Extremely rude male.

I understand completely.  I am in the same situation. Its very hard right now. I'm struggling between food...lifhts....creditor...which is more important??? That would be food and electricity for sure. My credit jjust gonna be bad. My kid comes first.

Got call from 800.609.5666, asking me to confirm my name then asked me to confirm last four SSN. When I asked who was calling, he abrutly said he was ending the call because I would not answer his question (verifying my SSN). Guess I should answer all his questions without knowing the name of the caller is absurd!

They called me about 4 times over the course of a week & just hung up. Today I picked up & there was an actual person on the line & asked for me by name. I responded yes & asked what they wanted. They refused to tell me & proceeded to ask if they could record the call. I told them only if they told me what they were calling about. They still refused. They kept pressuring me & I finally said "Okay, but would hang up on them if this seemed like a scam". I had my suspicions, but I really wanted to know what this was all about. Immediately, they began asking is such & such my address, is such & such your date of birth. I just said "maybe" & asked why they were calling. They still wouldn't tell me. I then asked if this was some sort of phishing scam & they responded "No, we are a legitimate company. I then told them I was done & said "Goodbye." A legitimate company does not act like this. Is this even legal?

Got a call from them but they wouldn't tell me why they were calling. They had my address from about 10 years ago and then wanted my DOB. I refused to give it until they told me why they were calling. She said she couldnt tell me until I verified my info. I said I wasn't giving my personal info until she told me why she needed it, then she hung up on me. So I called back from a landline and got the same runaround. I have nothing in collections and have an excellent credit report and high credit score.

Hey, i got a call from these people,  my sister used my moms identity to get in dept and when my mom found out and put a stop to it, my sister decided to give my and my moms numbers to these people while my sister went off grid. So you might be getting these calls becouse someone gave them your number.  Hope this helps anyone

They are a legit debt collector. We got a call from them due to a small hospital bill that had apparently gone unpaid, but the hospital obviously didn't try very hard to contact us themselves about it before turning it over to collections. The woman from Firstpoint was very polite, didn't need to ask for last 4 of my SSN (asked to verify full address instead), and had all the info about the debt including the hospital, patient name, date of visit, amount, and even the account number. I still was wary to give her a credit card over the phone without verifying with the hospital that the debt was legit, so I opted to contact the hospital directly to settle the debt, and she said that was fine, didn't push at all.

Robo Call, repeating the same sentences over and over until my voice mail cut them off. Did NOT identify their company. Robo calls are illegal. Blocked!
