How IN THE HELL can this number call EVERY DAY yet NO ONE is ever on the LINE?

It should be against the law. I log it to National do not call (big deal) EVERY TIME.

A guy was trying to give out a free subscription to Design News Magazine.  Called again a few days later even though I told them I do not want it.

Just got a call at 3:23PM on Feb 19th 2008

I didn't answer and no message was left.  Googled it and came up with this site.

This people call me daily and I ask them over and over again to take me of their calling list. They promised they will, but still I receive several call from same number every day. I would like to get them off my back, any idea what should I do?

They call me every day at least twice. When I pick up there is no one on the other end. I don't know how to get it to stop.

Reed business data publishes magazines for the construction industry.

Just received a call at work from them and it was the 2nd today. I was researching the number on the internet because they hung up on me. When they called the 2nd time, I immediately asked who it was and he said he is calling to see if I wanted a complimentary RESTAURANTS & INSTITUTIONS magazine subscription. I told them no and to take me off of their list and that this number is all over the internet about non-stop calls and such. He apologized and said he would do that. Don't know if that Carhars company is just a front for this type of telemarketing.

I've been getting daily calls for a couple of months.  Web resources allowed me to track it down to Reed Business Information, 8878 South Barrons Blvd., Highlands Ranch, CO.  I called their phone number: 303-470-4000, waited for the operator, politely asked her for the person who could remove my number from their automated list, was politely told that person was her, gave her my number, and was told it would take up to 30 days to take effect.  I'll let you know in a month if I had success.

If you call 800-637-6081 and KINDLY ask that your number be romoved from thier list and they will comply.  Can all the others here get a life and find something important to complain about and then do something constructive to fix it!!!!!!!!!

called again today (4/1/08 around 10:00 am CDT) I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message

I read more and found out that the company is Reed Business Information 8878 South Barrons Blvd., Highlands Ranch, CO 303-470-4000.

It was my first call.... I am so excited! (personal cell phone no doubt)

I called these types of numbers back and tell them to remove me from their lists.  I have been getting phone calls from them several times a day on a business phone line with no one at the other end.  I called, and they removed me from their phone list, saying it would take 72 hours for this to go into affect.  Lets hope it works!

I just called them back and they said they would take me off there do not call list.  The guys was very polite.

select option 2 to speak to a person.  They answered in less than a minute.

This company is ruthless about calling and not leaving messages.  They call my desk phone almost daily.  Caller ID is my saving grace.

The are a telemarking company interesting in selling engineering magazines.

I have been receiving daily calls from this number also.  No one ever answers when I say hello and no one picks up.  A very ineffective marketing campaign.

The number is for Reed Business' marketing department.  If you call back, you may ask to have your number removed.  I just did it and now hopefully the calls will stop.

Been getting several calls a day from this number. Called the number back and ask to be taken off their list. As suggested, I was friendly and so was the person I talked too. Might not be so friendly next time if they keep calling.  BTW, the reason they hang up when you answer is because their system makes several calls at once and they take the first one that answers.  The rest get dead air. Annoying, but more efficient for their business (such as it is).
