Received a call today 4/8/2016 on voicemail stating a reference number.  I did not return the call.

I believe they are calling with made up wrong names to get your personal information. Please do not give these bottom feeders any info like SS no. They are using this site to feed off of fears of getting in trouble over debt. They cant legally robocall with no message over and over again which happens to me. It is against the law for legitimate businesses to robocall you

got call from this number also  started this week , no message just lots of static, am not answering, letting my answering machine take it and then I delete it.  Tired of all this calling B.S. !!    we get put in jail for doing things our government feels is wrong, well what this caller is doing is WRONG also!!  why is our government allowing them a right of way????

Leaves no message but calls almost daily. We owe nobody money both car and mtg paid off so I don't understand why they call.

If you answer the phone and they ask for someone, tell them, "Hold on, I'll check."  Then lay the phone down and let 'em wait, when it starts whining, hang it up.  That stops that crap.  Do this each time you get a phishing call.

Got several calls from this number trying to collect a debt from someone I never heard of.  Told them...they said OK won't call again.  Then, they call a couple of days later.  I decided to play along so when they asked for Sandy ******, I said hold on.  Sat quiet for about 30 seconds.  Conversation then went sorta like this:
ME:  She wants to know who is calling.
THEM: This is a call to collect a debt.
ME: (after short pause) She says she ain't gonna pay it.
THEM: Threaten lawsuit.
ME: She says she's been deadbeating collectors for years and y'all are really stupid for getting clients that will give her credit.
THEM:  Threaten lawsuit.
ME:  She says go ahead and sue...you'll never find her to serve the papers.
THEM:  What is your relation to her
ME:  Uh, she works for me.
THEM:  What kind of business do you have and what does she do
ME:  I have an Oriental Happy Endings Massage Parlor and I bet you can figure out just what she does here.

This call comes in daily & a total nuisance.  I am on No Call List & debts are paid. Use to get calls for another debtee, but not us!  No explanation, just a nuisance.

Have received too many calls to keep track of from this number and am unsure why. My credit is good and my debts are in good order so I would appreciate it if I could get some help on how to keep this company from harassing me at my work phone number. I've been unable to speak with anyone when I've answered to let them know they are harassing the wrong person.

They call on  at least two numbers.  If you block 800-278-2420 then they will use 800-685-3118.  I never answered any of those numbers as the called ID says " Enhanced Recovery", an obvious collection agency.  If your last name is the same of the person they are trying to locate, they just call you because they think it's you or you will know where the person is they they are looking for.  Don't answer it.

I get a call 2 to 3 times a week from 1-800-685-3118.  Caller ID info says unknown. The caller leaves a msg stating this is a call from a debt collector, ERC and they give a reference number for me to use when I call back.  Interestingly, this reference number changes every 4th call?
I am not debt free and am certainly not subject to any collection of a past due amounts on any of my accounts.
I too have forwarded this info to the FL BBB.  Also exploring channels to file a harassment claim.

I got several no message left calls. I called it, after using *67 to block my outgoing number from being displayed. A pleasant male agent looked up the number they'd been calling and gave a name-- not mine. I told him wrong number, and he politely told me it would be removed from their list.  Haven't heard from them since.

*67 does not work on 800 numbers and I doubt any person working for a debt collector was "pleasant" and immediately removed your number.

Robocall hundreds of people of which 99% have no connection with the debt. Attempt to scam the person called into paying them. It should be noted that a phone call is no proof that a debt is owed. Even if a debt is owed, there is no proof the caller is the person owed. You may well pay these scammers and then be hit again by the real debt collector!

ERC has been calling for years. I just block them so my phone doesn't even ring. Shows up in my call report though. Idiots.
