I've blocked it now -but many calls- telling me my apple account is compromised and I should call support, blah bah blah.

Just received a call from 800-692-7753.  Assumed scam. They were saying my Apple products have been breached.  My wife has a hand-me-down iPhone, and I have an iPad Air.  I went to my desktop computer, and looked for messages on both my wife's and my Apple ID.  There were NONE.  I track all these calls, and NEVER answer their questions or push buttons.

Received 2nd call 40 minutes after the 1st.  Per Forbes and another report here, this is a SPOOFED number and SCAM.  Good advice says that if you did not contact Apple for any reason, do not respond to this number.

This is a fishing scam to try to get you to enter your Apple info. The number looks like the Apple customer support number. I called Apple directly and they're working on eliminating this scan.

Since I don't own a single Apple product, and probably never will, this is definitely a scam.  They've called multiple times, but my German speaking roboblocker takes care of them...the phone never rings!!

Maybe.  But that was 11 years ago. The scammers were not so into spoofing numbers back then. What counts is now, and calls from this number should be treated with suspicion, if not with prejudice.

This is the Apple number, but it’s not them. I just spoke with Apple and they said they will never call you on your land line phone.  They will only send a message on your that someone is trying to access your account.

Supposedly from Apple, “ reporting suspicious activity”. Almost certainly not from apple, and a scam to get your info.  This isn’t how Apple contacts you about problems.

message I received was that my bank account had been compromised bit I was not to call the bank.  call a number they rattled off instead.  these people are not only stupid but most annoying.  let us return to morse code!!

No voice message. Do not own Apple. Scam.

Of course, it is  scam.  Called our prepaid Tracfone twice on Tuesday  and again yesterday evening.  Only family has number and voice mail not set up.  Number blocked but that does not stop these POS of continuing to call us even though call was rejected.  Is Apple doing anything - Nothing, Nada because they don't care.   Every time we block on POS number, 5 others wake up from their POS grave.  Hell will be too good for the POS.

Recorded message: "Message: Your Apple I-cloud account has been breached. Please press 1 to be connected to technical support." then it disconnects immediately.
