Don't even get me started with these people.  I took out a loan with them over 6 years ago (it was a desparation loan because we were financially in a bind) at exorbant interest and as a result of that interest, I have over the course of the past 6 years, paid them back in double, but yet still owe.  Tried to get a reduction, and the lady said since all of the branch offices have closed, they can't re-evaluate the loan and reduce interest or lessen payments.  They call at least 10 times a day if you are even one day late, never leave messages, and if you do happen to sit on the phone waiting for a human to come back on the line, they are from India and you can barely understand them.

Agree! HSBC SUCKS. We have the same problem. They are a Chinese based lender & for some reason don't have to follow our laws/rules.

My mortgage is completely up to date, never late, and I even paid 3 DAYS early this month because i wasn't going to be able to on Monday, and these people have called me 11 times in the last 2 days.  I pick up the phone and it's either a dead line or a recorded message telling me to wait for an important call, and no one ever comes on the line.  Call them at 1-888-572-8823 and tell them to stop calling you, especially if you don't even do business with them!!  I got this number from my branch and it directly goes through to their collections department.  No waiting and no prompting.

    I Hate HSBC
This is a predictive dialer call from HSBC.  I hate HSBC.  The local, friendly staff promised to be there when we needed them, then corporate shut them all down and became huge pricks to its customers.  I hate HSBC.   So when you do need help to pay your high interest rate mortgage, they ask you to send in various docs, which they either "lose" or never receive and so you do it again and again and again.  I hate HSBC.  Finally, when they receive your docs, the assistance program you were trying to begin has already ended.  I hate HSBC. LESSON LEARNED: NEVER TAKE OUT ANY LOAN WITH HSBC

I have to say I'm surprised to hear the complaints about HSBC - I've had a mortgage with them for 9 years and my only beef is YES, they do start calling on the 2nd of the month when they don't receive payment, which is redonk. My company changed our pay weeks and so I'm 5 days late, havn't even surpassed the grace period, but they've called my phone 6 times today, no message left. When you do call back, they pressure you to make a phone payment for a $20 fee, which is unfair. Anyway, that's all, othewise I'm very happy with them!

agree, they gave us a loan, added a line of credit 'for emergencies'. They then called my wife and talked her into making an arrangement for splitting the mortgage into 2 payments a month, without any signature or aknowledgement from me. They had mentioned it when we went in to apply but wouldn't answer any questions, said all the answers were in a video we had to watch. Then they still didin't answer any questions, said we would just get the loan and discuss splitting payments later. It ended by them charging full mortgage twice a month, took 1 month to realize it and 3 months to get them to stop it, so credit line we never should have never needed added to $16,000 at 22%. Oh, and the video wasn't about their products just how people that don't pay their bills are evil.

This is the wonderful people from HSBC bank that was just fined $1.9 billion in drug money-laundering case with Mexico.  Search Google HSBC Fines to read the story.. I have a current mortgage with them and if I get one day late with my payment they start calling 6 times a day. Good luck to anyone who has a mortgage or loan with them as they are crooks,

    P***ed off
These guys call just about every hour . My mother just passed and had credit life ins. on her loan which pays off the loan on her death. I contacted them right after her death and faxed a copy of death certificate. A later call said I had keep making payments. I had to get an attorney  (@$100 hr. ) who told me I don't have to pay anything to them. A letter from the credit life also said that the loan would be paid in full. Why do they keep calling every day some times until 10pm
