- KevinThey keep calling my home phone & never leave a message. I donated over a year ago, they keep sending me reminder cards, I know it's a worthy cause, I know they're really just trying to get people to help other people, but 1) Why don't they have their caller ID info say "Red Cross" so people are more apt to pick up the phone and 2) Why don't they leave a message? Do they really expect people to answer their home phone without knowing who's calling these days? In my experience, the only people who do that anymore are the elderly, people without Caller ID, people without an answering machine/service/voicemail, people who also use the line for business purposes, chumps, and schmucks.
