I get phone calls from these people every day, telling me I need to call them immediately.  I don't know them, I don't know what they are trying to collect, because they never state it, and they use different numbers and different people to call.

I got a call at 9:44 or so in the morning of Thursday the28th of October. Some woman asked for a woman that I have no idea who she is. Teresa or Thersa La Salle is the name and the caller claims my number is the number she was given to call. I bet it is debt related.

I would like it to stop if possible.

These bottom dwellers call me at least once a day. They are LTD Capital and are
a debt collector. They leave a message that doesn't include the name of the person
they're trying to reach or the number to call which is: 800-741-2100. They do however,
leave a file number for reference.

When I called them back (happened twice), they ask me to provide MY information
for them to verify such as; last 4 digits of my social security number or my address.
I refuse to supply this information (you should always refuse too) because they might
not even have it. I refused to supply the information and told them to tell me what they
have and I will either confirm it or deny it. They refuse to tell me what information they
have, which I agreed to verify if accurate.

They said they won't do that. So I said, "if you won't cooperate with me, stop calling me!"
They refused to stop calling me so we are in s stalemate situation.

I was getting calls from them quite often at home while I was at work.  I called them back and some idiot on the other end of the phone started making threats.  I asked to speak with his supervisor and he hung up on me.  I called them back and this time I put them on speaker phone at home and put my computer microphone right next to the phone to record the conversation.  The "supervisor" immediately knew I was on speaker phone and said that he couldn't talk to me because I was on speaker phone.  I asked him why and he wouldn't give me an answer.  I said "are you afraid that your going to get recorded breaking the law?" he again said that he couldn't talk to me on speaker phone.  So I took it off for approximately 1 minute and put it back on speaker phone immediately.  He started making threats towards me and I told him that according to the FDCPA that he needed to send me information regarding the account that he said I owed.  He threatened a law suit, and then made a comment "what? do you think that you can just go file bankruptcy?"  I said I have no desire to file bankruptcy and that if the company he worked for was doing their job he would have already sent me all the required information on this account that he said that I owed on.  He got beligerent again and I said "Send me the information and I'll take a look"  At the end of the conversation I told him " Oh by the way, I have recorded this entire conversation, do you want me to play it back for you?"  I haven't had any trouble with them since.  But I just noticed on my cell that they called some time late yesterday afternoon.  So my advice is that if you have the ability to do so, record the conversation even if you don't have speaker phone if you put a computer microphone up to the ear piece you can get both sides of the conversation recorded on your computer.

Call several times a week and either hang up or ask for my name
Believe it is a scam or identity theft outfit.
Refuse to say who/what they are --- fun to insult them
    • Caller: Will not tell you

Keep calling, do not say why or who they are. Call them back to get number removed from their list. They agreed, but they STILL call me.

Whenever I see the number, I tell them they have the wrong number or do not answer at all.

I just put my phone number on the do not call list under the federal trade commission. I have been getting calls from this collection agency who is looking for someone I don't even know and they have tons of numbers from this same company! I've told them over and over that they have the wrong number but they refuse to stop calling, as if they don't believe me! I also have been getting a lot of scammers calling too.
If they keep this up, I've got all the numbers stored in my phone and will be reporting them! But I'll see after 31 days, if they continue to harass my family after registering my number in the Do Not Call list.

Received call today from this number.  The person on the other end was looking for someone other than me and said the call would be recorded; I let her know she had the wrong number and she said she was sorry and hung up.

They left a voice mail playing 20 seconds Shaggy's song "Angel". This was very very odd coming from an 800 number and what seems to be a financial company.
