- AnnetteNEW NUMBER!
They called me from 800-763-8517!
Same thing - 'Creative Director' called to say they had auditions for me.
Then they began to talk about business cards and my own website. Asked me why I wanted to do this. Told me $$ needed to be the #1 reason!! I then got to talk to the 'Creative Director's' superior (um sure, that's they way it works - NOT!)Who went on and on telling me how he didn't have time to go into details (a 20-minute call from someone who doesn't have time????) and that I would receive 30,000 or some such ridiculous number of auditions per month. And guess what? I'd get preference because I had business cards and a Talent Advisor.
Silly silly silly. I didn't even wait for the sales pitch. I was having a hard time not laughing! Couldn't even understand what those men were trying to say! Oh, and my eyes- they told me my eyes are brown when they're blue!
Plus they kept calling me by my last name, or 'Annie'. I am NOT 'Annie'!
Thank you for posting here, because I got a feeling when the call started and Googled the 'agency'. Got this site!!- Caller: Explore Talent
- robyni just got the same phone call.. but this time it was for a guy named joesph. Im so glad I was smart enouph to google the name when i herd it.. i saw this site n hung up. I to was also talking to the supposed top guy at the time. I was almost taken once before by another company trying to do the same thing to me so this time instead of falling then looking it up afterwords I did the smart thing first. I hope that there are more people out there who also do the smart thing first.

- MsLawI've called just about all of the numbers on here. It seem that Explore Talent maybe trying to be legit. 1800-763-8517 x 5022, 1800-598-7500, yes and even 1323-785-2010. I've called the still say that they are located in Hollywood, but operate NATIONWIDE!!! Clean it up. Everyone who made notations on this website should also file with the Better Business, who will diffently keep tabs and investigate. But in has to be more than one complaint going in.

- SheilaI've gotten many calls and a few emails from this company over the last 6 months... from 800.763.8517 most recently i've had many suspicions but finally talked with a person saying he is the CREATIVE DIRECTOR and his name is Nick Taylor.. from Hollywood, LOL Meanwhile its sounds like a INDIAN telemarketing office in the background.... I'm confident this is a SCAM and i think they got my profile from- http://www.newfaces.com/... i was looking for my son, but the asked for personal info- so i submitted my info instead and then i started getting calls within a few weeks... i'm not sure if the emails are connected to the calls if one is legit and the other not, just be careful of putting money out upfront. to me a REAL agent works for YOU and doesn't get paid unless you get paid..

- kourtneyi got the same call today, guys name was eric, said i could make 1500 dollars for going to an audition. the guy had a very thick maybe Arabic accent? could barely understand him. he didnt ask me for money but im supposed to call him back to talk to his supervisor or something. he wanted me to model for some Ambassador Clothing line or something. good to know this is a scam, i wouldnt pay him anything anyways, im broke!
- Caller: Expore Talent
- VickyI just got a call from this same number. He told me that they wanted to audition me for a feature film produced by Ashton Kutcher's company. This is a complete scam. No reputable agency would call random people for jobs like this. Especially, if they do not know the acting capacities of the person they are calling. Do not fall for this scam. He said his name was Patrick Morris. He had an accent which obviously does not match the name. Be careful out there people. Fortunately, I did not pick up the phone. I just got a pathetic voice message that I could barely understand. It seemed rehearsed too.
- JerrySame thing today on my cellphone. FIrst 'John Paul' the creative director who sounded Pakistani followed by the senior something or other. I let them go on and on for 30 minutes, till they finally said, 'now there is a small investment' and I just busted out laughing and hung up. Hate to admit I got scammed for 1000 dollars back during the 80's so I'm wiser. I cant believe based on the postings here, that they have been doing this and getting away with it for almost 3 years?? Its always "entertainment industry" stuff because they know people suddenly lose their common sense and think with their emotions.

- MC BIG BIZZLEIm 18 years old and I am a rapper who owns my own record label and has my own group. My dad had a voicemail on his answering machine from a David Baxter. He sounded middle eastern and I couldnt understand half the things he said but I did get that he was from Explode Talent and that his extension was 5505. I called him to see what he wanted and he told me that I needed to go to san francisco for an audition. He sounded like he was in a loud environment and it definetly didnt sound like a proffesional office. He described a picture of me and asked me to confirm that I lived in L.A. California. I told him that his information was incorrect and that he needed to get a real job. He told me to go to explodetalent.com and I told him if he ever called again I was going to track him down a kick his ass. Out of curiosity I went and searched for the website and luckily I confirmed my suspicions by finding this page. Watch out for this company.

- q replies to kailey| 1 replynot true, dont listen smeone cannot prove
- mom replies to qgot a call today for my son. it is definitely a scam. I work for agencies and this is not how it works. The lady with a very think accent, Carolyn Jones, lol, said it was urgent that he call back right away for this job which she wouldn't specify. I'm not surprised that they asked others for money. She says she was a creative director for Explode Talent and represented 6,000 casting directors...LOL.

- Kimmie| 1 replyMy cell phone said 5583 and the caller said his name was Samuel (no last name, though I did ask) with "Explode Talent" calling for my husband. It's funny how they got his nickname but kept saying that they would like it if "SHE" would call back. When I asked if they could call back on Monday the man said no and for me to take down the number. The guy sounded Indian. This really makes me angry. The number they gave me was 1-800-763-8515.

- KimmieJust wanted to add that I looked up the origin of the number 800-763-8515 and it is a New York number. It's obvious that many people are being scammed by a group of individuals who range in ethnicity under the pretense that you will get famous through their dealings. DO NOT CALL this number back. DO NOT give them any of your personal information. IF POSSIBLE report this number and the agency and if you have used the site www.exploretalent.com or www.explodetalent.com and have been ripped off to the F.B.I's internet fraud website at www.ic3.org.
It's up to the smart ones to defend the ignorant. This is unacceptable and these people should be caught and prosecuted.
