- bugged in fl.They called my cell several times a day, some within 30 min of each other. I don't have a loan with them nor have I used them. And even if I did owe them money, not leaving a message to identify who they are or who they are working for, I just keep pressing ignore.
- jaycollection agency
- nomoreThis is illegal, report them. It is illegal for a debt collector or agency to call and not identify themselves in the voicemail or phone call. Contact your attorney general's office for the state you reside in and file a complaint.
- TaraGuys let me say I got a call from this number too. When I called it back I thought it was bogus stuff too and they were wanting all this information about me, until I found out that my previous and current auto loan with a company no longer did auto loans and had transfered my account to them. Thus all the phone calls were to update my new account with them and welcome me to SST. They ARE infact a third party collection/loan department so some calls to people may be for debt collection but if you have a current loan out with a company try actually talking with both companies to be sure and I am sure the company would not be a problem. They haven't for me yet.So not all things are bad for this company just depends on what they are calling YOU for. For me it was just to inform me that my auto loan had transfered from the previous company to SST, a Third Party Loan collector/debt collecttion agents.

- Jim| 2 repliesI don't know who thinks SST is a good company. They bought the loan account on our SUV. Since then, we have had payments not get credited to our account. In fact, payments made by us electronically are often not posted until they are late. We are then charged a late fee and dunned for the money. I have nothing good to say about SST, and everything we have heard about them is also negative.
- MaryI just got a call from SST (1-800-789-8001) -- they were asking about my neighbor!!! Is that legal? I didn't give them any information. They asked me to give my neighbor a message to call 1-800-789-8001. I thought it was very strange.

- deniseI received a call from SST - in regards to my cousin two days ago. She (Dalonna at SST) said that they (my cousin) used me as a reference. Which i am sure they did, but then SST was asking for TOO MUCH information on ME. Asking my address and wanted my SSN and any other phone number they could reach me at along with my place of business. To be a reference they don't need to have my personal information. My cousin paid off the loan almost 6 months ago and showed the cancelled check to me. They are hasselling him for more money because they took over 2 months to post it to his account and want him to pay legal fees, late charges and extra interest. If you go through SST LEAVE that company. I have turned them into the B.B.B.

- yymLeft message on home phone to call a different number (18003928308) in reference to someone I've never heard of.
- Vickie| 1 replyI received a call today from 800-789-8001. It was SST. The lady on the line called me by my name, only mispronounced it. When I said it correctly, she slammed the phone down. I called them back. I do not have any accounts with them. Someone has used me as a reference in the past, and I am sorry that they did. SST employees are extremely rude. I would never want anything to go through SST. Be careful of them.

- Chas.AI have no regard for collection types -- but as to this company, SST is a company which apparently BOTH does collections as well as account services for others. Being new to Tulsa, when I had to purchase an auto more quickly than anticipated a few years ago, the dealer made arrangements for me for a loan with a Texas credit union with whom they have a relationship. I even have an account with the c.u. now, and know that they "farm-out" their auto loan payment processing, and my loan is still with them. SST performs this processing function, and I make payments by due date, except for a couple of times when out-of-tonn, and those payments were made between due date (24th ea. mo.) and end of month. I called after using auto pay system to inform in these instances. No penalties unless payments are over a week late, and I have been treated courteously be anyone with whom I have spoken there. Again, I suspect they may have two "divisions" or such. Whatever, my experience positive, and if they do have a hard-[***] collection operation also, they must do a good job of separating them - since the latter are usually populated by smarmy weasel types.
- anonymousThey just called me about my neighbor?? Those IDIOTS!! i pay extra money a month to not have my phone number given out or published and these idiots got my number. I registered my number on the national do not call list and they still got it. I dont even know who my neighbor is. I live in a a huge apartment complex and do NOT talk to my neighbors. I called back and told them not to call me anymore because I dont give a [***] about who lives next door to me and has debt. Everybody that lives around me has debt probably and I'm NOT part of any of it. If anybody gets a call like this tell them you dont know your neighbor and that you dont want them to call you, This is OUTRAGEOUS DO ONT BECOME PART OF YOUR NEIGHBORS DEBT PROBLEMS. IM NOT A MESSENGER AND WILL NOT DO THAT COMPANIES WORK FOR THEM. [***] THEM!!!

- meMy mother *69'd them when they called her house. (Yes, she's the only person out there without caller ID.) When she gave me the number to track online, it led to Systems and Services Technologies. I just found out that my auto loan got switched to this company. They had her number as a reference number, I guess. After reading all of this, I'm glad that I wrote a check for the complete balance and mailed it this morning.(I was lucky to be able to do that.) I don't want to deal with a company like this for any longer than I absolutely have to. I hate business that do dirty work to get their job done.

- BillApparently my car loan was sold from one company to another and payments aren't posting properly. They have an old phone number for my account. When I called to clear things up, I got an extremely rude person who demanded much more information than necessary to locate my account. After a few minutes of her badgering me to give additional information, she hung up on me.
I'm all for collection calls where appropriate, but this was so far to the extreme for the first-ever call I have received, I have no doubt the other complaints are valid. - RoseApparently my car company sold my loan to sst and "went out of buisness" but i didnt realize it until just out of tthe blue i got a letter talking about reposessing my truck and its the first letter i have recieved from them, when this other company who "went out of buisness is still cashing the checks i have been sending to them thru my bill pay so the who;e time i thought all my payments were being made and i had no idea that the company was no longer a company , wtf isnt that illegal, and now i cant get a number or website for this other company at all ... i dont know how to handle this??

- Baffled2010 replies to gfhdfhdfhdfh| 2 repliesI would like to respond to the "employee" who recently made a post on this site stating that "we" should pay our bills....First of all, please either learn to use spell check or get a dictionary to assist you in your grammar skills. WE have been in a "battle" with SST for over a year with our auto loan. To make a VERY long story short, one financial instituation sold their accounts to SST and we were double dipped on our monthy EFT/ACH payment and once the error was corrected through our bank, SST CONTINUED to call 20 times a day, no supervisors would return calls, information was faxed monthly to PROVE payments made and received and needless to say, due to frustration and complete exhaustion over dealing with SST's supervisors, and CSR's (who are for lack of better terms UGLY), we finally just decided to pay the payment that we truly did not owe just to get the title to the vehicle. We requested that the late fees be removed due to fighting and dealing with this issue for so long, time spent on the phone, taking off from work to go to our financial institution to gather information and guess what?!?! The only waived 1/2 of the late fees and would only agree to remove ONE mark from our credit. They also refused to waive the fee for EFT of $10 on this final payment. I too like others requested a physical address and names of corporate officers and every CSR that I spoke to stated they could only give or only had a correspondence address at a PO BOX....well their home office location in St. Joseph, MO is easily found on the internet - go figure!! Also listed are the names of the CEO and VP of the company as well. We too are filing a complaint with the Attorney General's Office, BBB, and the 3 major credit bureau's - I have a file that is literally 5 inches thick of all documentation submitted to SST and call logs as well. Finally, I would just like to say to the "employee" who posted the comment about "COME AND GET AT ME! BITCHHH" wow! you have truly out done yourself with your words! Perhaps actually getting an education and researching the company that you are working for could possibly give you some insight as to who exactly it is that you work for or better yet, if you are truly an SST employee, you would know that any Auto or Credit Card loan / accounts that are bought / sold WE do NOT sign a CONTRACT with a Third Party Biller - the contract is signed at the dealership with the actual financial institution (ours is a Credit Union)! Educating yourself on how accounts are aquired and gaining knowledge on accounting (A/R & A/P) could potentially be a great asset for you and your future. To say the least we will be pleased to have this loan and vehicle paid off and hope to never have to deal with SST or the like thereof again. Lesson learned: only finance your auto loan through your own financial institution that you bank with so you can better track and have contact with the people that service your account in person!
- EXEmployee replies to Baffled2010| 1 replyOkay..let me respond not only to baffled2010 but to the SST "employee"..First Baffled because you are less complicated...I am a former SST employee and have to say I quit because of some of their business practices but more because of the way they treated their employees. They not only do not care about you but they do not care about their employees or their families. About the contract, it is unfortunately in the contract (not sure as to where) it states that the leinholder on your account can sell the loan to anyone at anytime. We are told to tell you, the customers, that it is "Daily Business Decisions". As far as the supervisors, yes they have some HORRIBLE supervisors. Several that are rude and nasty, a couple that refuse to even take supervisor calls. I know of only one supervisor that would actually take the supervisor call but do anything she could to help you out. We are also told that we can not waive the phone fee, they will do it if you bug them enough. We are also told under no circumstances will they waive Late Charges or Other due on the account. Other due would be if you made a payment over the phone and was charged the $10 and then the payment was returned for some reason it would also charge you the $10 to your account, the "other due" is also for repo fee's, legal fee's Bankruptcy fees, or "Field Call" fees (field calls are where they have to send someone to the house because they have not heard from you in 30 days or more). Do you remember who the original loan was through? that's just my curiosity....You can dispute your credit marks with the credit bureau. Bottom line is most of the people that work for sst are very lazy, rude hateful people. One reason I could not work there because I am not like that...If you would have ever spoken to me on the phone I would have been the utmost professional with you...
Now to the employee...What a way to "represent" the company you work for. That not only was rude but it shows your lack of respect for anyone, to include yourself. Personally the part of "come and get at me bitchhh" well that sounds like a Terroristic threat....which as you know is against the law. Seriously what did you accomplish by being rude and hateful...you should live by the Golden Rule, "Treat others as you would like to be treated".... - becky replies to JimThere is a complaint blog about this company.I found it tryin to actually make a payment to them.So after reading all the complaints.I looked at my loan and my original contract the amount my loan was for is off by 100.00 dollars.I got a late fee and lookin at my original contract.I have a 10 day grace prd. They argue with me.I am tryin to get some people togather and see if we can get a class action lawsuit against this company. What their doing is fraud.
- Jimbo replies to EXEmployeeI have the unfortunate circumstance of having a boat loan through SST. My loan was sold almost immediately after I purchased it. I happened to be moving at the same time. Long story short, there was some confusion with the first payment. I called SST and was given to a woman to discuss the situation. Before the call I happened to throw SST into GOOGLE to get some info. Obviously I saw the thousands of complaints associated with their company. So, when I was speaking to this SST woman I mentioned that I was a bit concerned about the horrendous amount of complaints that I saw. She said "Well this is collections and their is always negative things associated with that." Wait a second...collections? I just got a loan, they are supposed to be servicing the loan aren't they. I was perplexed. Anyway, she said there was nothing she could do about my payment being late with them even though I sent it to the original loan company. Subsequently, they charged me some "late fees" which appeared on my next statement. I decided to just pay them and go on my way. Funny...they did not apply my payment for the late fee to my late fee. They said they applied it to my principle and that the late fee would be realized at the end of my loan. I told them this was not acceptable to me, but they stated there was nothing they could do about it. More perplexed...I tried to get a Supervisor on the phone, I could not. I tried to write a letter, no response. I realized that I was spinning my wheels and it was useless without an Attorney. These people are crooks and I cannot believe they are allowed to do business in this country. Why has the US Attorney's Office or a State Attorney General not taken them down?
