I also receive call(s) from toll free # 800-789-8001 I have no idea who they are and when calling them back they wanted personal information on me. When asked to be removed from their call list they still wished for the personal info. I refused and only gave them my home phone #. I will report them to the BBB and hope it helps.
They are very RUDE so if you get calls from the fight back and report the as*ho*es !!

I'VE IDENTIFIED MYSELF AND EVERYTHING AND I'LL GET AT YOU! YOUR COMPANY DOES NOT FOLLOW FDCPA LAWS AND YOU ARE A BUNCH OF 3RD CLASS 3RD PARTY COLLECTORS WHO DON'T KNOW JACK S**T ABOUT THE JOB YOUR DOING. I WAS CALLED 5 -6 TIMES A DAY UNTIL I THREATENED TO FIILE A COMPLAIT WITH THE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE. I TOOK DOWN DATES AND TIMES AND LET REP SARA KNOW THAT I WAS TAKING DOWN DATES AND TIMES TO SPECIFICALLY FILE AGAINST SST. THE CALLS WERE HARRASSING AND I COULD PROVE IT. THEY GOT SCARED BECAUSE I KNEW WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT AND THEY TOOK ME OFF AUTO DIALER AND NEVER CALLED ME AGAIN....NOW, YOU BETTER BE GLAD SOME OF US ARE LATE YOU LITTLE BI**H OR YOU WOULD'T HAVE A JOB LITTLE PEON COLLECTOR. I DON'T PAY WHEN YOU WANT ME TO I PAY WENT I WANT TO HOMEBOY! I HAVE PERFECT CREDIT AND AS LONG AS I PAY BEFORE MY DUE DATE I KEEP PERFECT CREDIT! SOMETIMES I WAIT UNTIL THE 28TH DAY AND THEN I PAY! HAHAHAHA NOW BITE THAT!!!

Also, just a little info from a former "legal" collector. If they call your house and leave a message they CANNOT call you again until the next day no matter if they left a message with someone or especially on a machine. They are not allowed to give the nature of their call on an answering machine. Ex: This is John w/ SST and I'm calling about your auto loan etc...They cannot threaten legal action unless they have EVERY intention of taking you to court. If they do sue you it can only be for the deficiency balance of the car. In other words, once they repo your car and sell it, you owe the deficiency which is the remaining balance on the loan, not the whole loan amount. But this balance is specifically after they sell the car and tell you how much they sold it for. Also, if you live in a Garnishment state and they serve you to go to court, obtain a judgemement against you and then garnish your wages, go to your local court house and file what is called a "hardship hearing". bring all your bills, rent electric, gas, water and all your kids needs and supplies and all of your everyday bills and let the judge know how much you can pay, usually 20 -30 dollars and they will 99 % of the time reduce your garnishment to a 20 or 30 dollar payment and call it a day. If I can help further, let me know. I used to be a collector in a legal department and I can't stand collectors. LOL

Let me tell you SST is the worst company in the world to do a loan through. I have been fighting with them for the past 6 months to get a payment due date change. They fax me a due date change document, charge me a late fee and a payment over the phone fee and claim they haven't received my change form. The sad thing is my loan is through American First Credit Union and because of them outsourcing my loan to this company "SST" I would never carry any loans through American First Credit Union and I would advise anyone else to do the same. It's a sad day when customer service is put to the way side to add additional dollars to the banks bottom line.

I guess NOT ALL “MEMBERS COME FIRST”

I agree, we have had problems with SST also.  They don't provide proper account information and give us statements saying we owe money, but when we call about it, noone seems to know why we owe this money.

My husband and I get calls from this crazy company at least 3 or 4 times a day.  We are only behind 1 payment.  We do not have caller I.D., but have been at home in the past from time to time in the past few days.  We noticed when they call they do not leave a message at all.  If you answer, a voice machine comes on to say "all our representatives are busy right now; please wait on the line".  I hang up everytime this message comes on.  Also, most times I answer, there is a foreigner on the line asking for Les (my husband) or me (Ruth).  They always mispronounce my name.  We are so sick of them calling us so many times a day.  Never have we been involves with a company that bugs people that much.  We called consumer complaints to no avail.  They told us if we owe this bill, we should pay it off; then they won't bother us anymore.  I have read about people still getting bugged by this ridiculous company even after their bill is paid.  We are seriously considering suing this company and would like to see them out of business as soon as possible.  And I agree with you in that their workers are very ignorant and no where near being polite.  I do not think they know the meaning of the word.  My husband and I hang up on them everytime.

I have received several calls from this number.  When I answer it there is no one on the line, it's just a recording putting me on hold telling me to stand by for an important message.

Working for a company like SST, you are not very professional. Your language is rude and offensive not to mention foul.  I bet that SST would be proud to know that one of their employees represents their company in such a manor that could cost them some hefty fines through the Attorney Generals Office..
