It is NOT from SunTrust!!  It is a scam!!  Please do not EVER give your SSN out over the phone, or any personal information for that matter!!  Chase Fields is not an employee of SunTrust, and this scam has nothing to do with your loan being current or late.... it is just a ploy to look for identity theft victims....

PLEASE BEWARE!!  Call your SunTrust representitive that you know and trust before offering any information about your loan to a complete stranger.  Criminals are doing what they can....

I  hope you never lose your job because then some smart ass will be calling you.

I got 5 thousand dollars in FDCPA settlement checks this year from scum bag collection agencies just like yours that says otherwise A Hole! And I can prove it.

I note that most of these posts are pretty elderly, the most recent being from three years ago.

I've banked with SunTrust for about six years and I must say that none of this sounds the least bit like my dealings with them.

Furthermore, there's that (very un-SunTrust-like) "Number Owner" post.

In any case, the whole thing reeked of scam, and/or a debt-collection outfit that somehow thinks that my phone number belongs to someone they're trying to track down.

Caller asked for the last four of my social and address and said he could not talk to me until a gave them the info. They said they were calling from Suntrust. I called Suntrust and they do not know the number, and when I called the number they asked for my account information. FRAUD!@

The same thing for me. They called 2xs. I did the same - googled Suntrust Bank and called the # on their site. The indicated there was no record on my account of anyone calling me. 2ND time it was a lady saying she was calling in regards to Suntrust Bank matters and needed to verify she was speaking to right person - which i give it to her, that was reasonable. But not enough for me to give her my info. I told thank you very much, i will be calling the bank myself.

I got a call from SunTrust Bank according to the name on the screen...she said she was calling in regards to a "personal banking matter" but before she could go any further she needed the last 4 digits of my SS. I told her I would not give that to her unless she advised what the personal business matter was in regards to. She advise she couldn't tell me that until I gave her my last 4. I advised I would not do that...she was not happy. My account is up to date, in fact I made 2 payments. this month on my credit card to quickly get rid of using it. Maybe they didn't like that. Who knows. I went to a SunTrust branch. The teller looked up my account and found no reason for why I was called, and he could not find the 800# shown on my phone screen. Peeved!

No, its not suntrust bank, its scammers posing as suntrust. Come on people, aren't we more savvy than that in 2018?????!!!!!!!!!

I paid off the loan and suntrust keeps calling lol

truist/suntrust - they called and left a message - so i went online and looked at my truck loan info - i was a few days from being 30 days late.  im glad they called or i would have gotten a 30-day late hit on my credit score.
