If this were Chase, or even a scam artist, why the hell don't they answer?  I picked it up after getting called every hour or so for days now, and nobody is there.  Nothing.  Silence.  I call back, and it says the number is disconnected.  So what is their point here, other than pissing people off?

For the person who says this is actually collections calling: I too have been getting these calls for several weeks now at all hours of the day. I am not late nor have I missed any payments. I actually talked to Chase a couple of months ago and they took me off of their marketing list. So I do not think it is collections.

Yep - same here.  Chase mortgage customer, over 18 calls in 4 days.  I will now answer the phone "POLICE DISPATCH" and hopefully these idiots will think THEY have the wrong number.  Great way to screw with them!

I've been getting at least 5 calls a day from this number--the call at 8:00 a.m. Sunday morning really floored me!  I never answer the call when it's from this number.

calls me repeatedly every day starting at 8 a.m.  if that isn't harassment i don't know what is.

They call me five times a day and always ask for another name. I have told them they have the wrong number and am going to call my cell provider to get it blocked.

I am getting this on all of my phones - 2 cell 1 land line. The only one so far is my truck # through OnStar. Same as all comment, always disconnects when attempt to answer. Can not call back due to recording saying "Number no-longer in-servce."

they have been calling me at least 5 times a day.. never leave a msg. but its totally annoying.  i do not return calls unless they tell me what they want.

on 10/29/09, I received 8 phone calls throughout the day from 800-849-9380.  No one is on the line when I answer and no one ever leaves a message when I don't answer it.  When I try to call the number back, the number is not in service.  What can I do?

They call almost daily. When I answer, there is no one there.

I have been getting calls as well. When i answer they hang up, when i cll back it tels me that it is a none worknging number? I just hit ignore now when the call comes in. How do i block it from my cell phone?

They've been calling my cell phone several times a day for the past weeks, including holidays. I thought I had this number blocked already a few months ago, but it seems it was un-blocked after the expiration date came.

My carrier is Verizon, which lets you block phone numbers online.
It's under My Services > Verizon Safeguards > Spam controls

I'm sure other carriers have similar services.

I received a call from this number for a week every 20-30 min. I looked it up on Google, and found this site.  So the next call I Picked up, They asked for me by name, and said they were from chase and said i was behind on my payment. I am behind but my account is in deferred status due to a job loss.  This must be a real call from Chase as today is Jan 5, 2010, and my deferred status ends in Feb, so they must be calling to get me ready to get back on track.  I did not give them any info, as he told me what my payments were and how much behind I was, actually it was my deferred amt. behind that he quoted to me.  Wow, talk about being on track.  Chase Collections, is what I'm thinking.

Getting the same response I answer the phone it hangs up...call the number back and it says it is disconnected....

I am not a Chase customer and neither is my  11 year old daughter. She just got  cell phone for Christmas and she had been getting these calls on her phone.  I called back and the number had been disconnected.  I'm glad I saw this site, now I know to warn her to never answer it. I will call our carrier and see if there is a way to block it from her phone.

I have also been getting these calls, very annoying!  I took a tip from someone else and answered "JPMorgan-Chase Fraud Investigations" and they hung up.  I have to think this is an automated call that is just calling around looking for responses so they know the line is live.  but I am going to the bank today and will raise hell with them.

so after I answered the first time today with "JPMorgan-Chase Fraud Investigation", sure enough, they must have entered into their computer that there is a live person on my end, and I got a call back.  this time, I said nothing.  the other person stayed on the line, i could hear them breathing, so i finally said, HELLO?!!!!  it was an indian woman who asked for me by name.  I didn't verify that she had the right person and just immediately said, "DON'T YOU EVER CALL THIS NUMBER AGAIN, YOU HEAR?!  I am reporting you to JPMorgan-Chase Fraud Investigation!"

and she said, "but I am calling from Chase."  I said, "DO NOT EVER CALL THIS NUMBER AGAIN!"

she said, "oohhhhhhh KAY maam!"  and I hung up.  it's annoying, as this is my work number, and there is NO WAY IN HELL my Feb mortgage is late on Feb 1 and Feb 2 which is when they've called me this month.

so even after I told them clearly to NEVER CALL ME AGAIN, the same indian woman called my work again this morning.  She refused to listen and kept telling me the call would be recorded and it was about my mortgage.  I told her that I KNEW this was a scam and that she was NOT from Chase, but she insisted that she was.  She kept talking and I told her, I have told you numerous times to never call her, and you are violating the law, yet you keep calling!

she did not care, and kept talking, so it is not legitimate. Just to verify I went to my branch and asked the personal banker to look up my account and he said, you have until the 15th to pay your mortgage, you are not late.

he called Chase Fraud and told me to tell them that if they call again, tell them I've called the police.  it's infuriating that they call at work and it takes time out of my day.  i hate these criminals!  i also had him remove my work information from my profile, of course they already have it now.  but this is DEFINITELY NOT CHASE!
