they keep calling my work and cell, called cell yesterday when i was in an interview, then just called at 8:20 am today (Saturday).  it's the SAME INDIAN WOMAN EVERY TIME!  I am at my wits end.  I am either going to find a loud, high pitched sound and play it in her ear next time, or, I am going to tell her that I am going to hunt her down and chop her into tiny pieces and feed her to wild animals if she EVER calls me again.  I have also called the FTC but what can they do? i don't get why they keep calling me, when i keep telling them that I know that they are scammers
I am going to try this: http://www.ehow.com/how_5260834_block-calls-sprint-cell-phone.html

this son of a [***] just called AGAIN. They first called at 8:25 am this morning and I got the usual Indian woman.  This time it was the male. I told him very clearly that I KNOW he is not from Chase, I have reported him to the FTC and to Chase Fraud and WHY THE HELL DOES HE KEEP CALLING WHEN I KNOW THAT THIS IS FRAUD?  he said "are you so sure i am not from Chase?"  I said if you were from Chase, you would respect my request to STOP CALLING and if you EVER CALL ME AGAIN YOU WILL BE VERY SORRY!  he said, "Oh really!  Well your Feb mortgage is overdue and this is an attempt to collect a debt."  My mortgage is absolutely NOT overdue. I have checked at the bank just to be sure.  I then told him that I planned to track him down and when I found him I would cut him into tiny little pieces and feed them to wild animals, then, when he seemed to find this amusing, I screamed as loud as I possibly could into the phone until my throat was raw and my head was in.  I don't know what else to do.  So tired of them calling me!  My phone company refuses to block the call, and Chase Fraud does not care.  hope this works, if not ... i am ready to move all of my accounts from Chase.

This is happening to me. I just received two calls this morning and I answered the second time the call came. I was talking to an lady with foreign accent and I asked for a call back number to ensure it was a legit.... She dis not provide one and I hung up afterward.

Scam? It could be. What can be done to protect ourselves? I would never answer this number again. But it appears that there are quite a few of us have been targeted.

What is the purpose of this scamming? I don't have proof but I am sure it is against the law to scam ....

    Possible motive.

Terrorist attacking!!! This will have to be resolved by getting appropriate law enforcement agencies. If Chase Mortgage is involved and Chase must come forward to identify as to why this is proper to resolve mortgage issues.

If not Chase Mortgage, whoever is responsible for this terror act will get

It is now February 2010 and this number is showing up on caller ID, so it hasn't been fixed, if it is indeed a reputable, real call, from Chase. If they wanted people to call them back, it would have been corrected.

If you actually READ the posts here, you will see that most of the people here are NOT BEHIND on their bills or DON'T even have a CHASE ACCOUNT!

So the the uncalled-for comment to "pay your bills" is way, way, way, out of line. The posts here are a reasonable response to highly suspicious calls.

I never know who's calling from this number, because they never say anything at all, they just hang up.  800-849-9380 started calling first then they switched to 800-848-9380.  They call 2 or 3 times in the morning, then they try several times during lunch hours and again near the end of the work day.

I don't answer the calls anymore at all, I see it and disconnect. But, it's very annoying for a receptionist or anyone for that matter.

Why can't the telephone companies do something about this.  I would think this is illegal and should be stopped.

No name from 800-848-9380, calls constantly at all hours leaves no message, this is annoying. I have put my number on the Do Not Call List repeatedly to see if this caller will bet the message, I guess they are DEAF.

I got an SMS text from this number.

I've never seen it before and do not recognize the caller ID, therefore it is an unwanted call.

The individual using this number is doing so with malicious intent!

Anyone whom gets a TEXT-message or CALL from someone they don't know or never heard of, should immediately allow their security-application to blacklist it and then proceed to report the incident to the FBI.

You should never open attachments or respond to any requests from these types of sources. They're only spoofing you to get your information.

With the enormous increase of identity-theft on the rise, people should definitely be on alert and very scrupulous when receiving any calls or texts from a source they do not recognize.
