got a letter from these [***] about my JcPenney card.  Jcpenney set up a payment plan which I followed to the T.  Called Jcpenney when I got the letter and they said they did not have my debt anymore, even though they had been collecting the interest and payment every month for almost a year.  I told this PBC that I did not owe them any money and I would be requesting verification of this debt and that I had any obligation to pay them anything.  They are a junk debt buyer that pays pennies on the dollar for the opportunity to try and get you to pay them some kind of money.  Do not fall for their scam.

apparently i do owe a dept that has been turned over to this collection agency....and if they could handle debt collections at this office in a "professional mannerly" way i would be inclined to pay it but miss Amber Cummings at extension 2275 lost that bet with me.... i used to be a debt collector i learned in any position you get more with honey....i also know that in the debt collection business you have to meet quota, if my debt was a part of hers today she wont be meeting it today. F.Y.I even peoples that owe for debts are humans that should be shown respect in the same .............

just recieved i call from a jessica hickey who told me that i will do this or she will do that if i don't. she then hung up. i called back and informed her that i need to research this debt as i have perfect credit and dont dodge any bills. she told me i had until noon monday. i informed her that i needed to research where this alleged debt is coming from. she told me that i had better call her back by noon or else, then she released the call. i called back and asked her if we were disconnected and she said she thought i hung up. liar. she hung up and restated that she added me to her calendar and continued to attempt to arrange for a pymnt. i adv her i will not be calling her at noon and we hung up. i will be reporting them to BBB. unfortunately there is no law against being rude. however, she is in violation for not giving me the proper time to research an alleged debt.

This company is awful. It is a debt Collection company. Every person that I spoke with was extremely rude and unprofessional. Iunderstand they are tyring to do their job by collecting a debt however there should still be some form of professionalism present. And, after telling me I had no option but to pay the loan right now in full I was shocked and surprised at how easy it was to set up a payment plan online through their website. If you are getting calls from this place, call them back asap but good luck dealing with these jerks!

they are phonies, fishing for your personal info! do not give them any info, always ask for them to send you info in the mail, i would even have a lawyer look into anything they send you!!!!

I was called at noon today, Jan 22.  I do not answer phone numbers that have a caller4 ID that says Out of Area.  However, after reading these messages, I can say that I have had this number for over 7 years and I do not owe anything to anyone.  So they have called a wrong number or are fishing for info about someone else.  There are only two people in this house and neither of owes anything to anyone.  I did write a letter to them telling them to quit calling me.  I also blocked the number but the company may have many numbers and call tomorrow with a different number so a letter takes care of them all.  After doing this with another collections agency I never got another call.

got a call from this number today asking for my mother inlaw ruby, the caller ask if my husband had power of attorney over her as she is sick, i ask who was calling and they said, erik ewell from PBC. wanted my husbands name but I told him he was askin to many questions over the phone, and that my husband was not here to call bACK BY FIVE, SO THEN HE SAID HIS CALL WAS URGENT, AND i NEEDED TO give him my husbands cell phone number, so when I said no he told me to have my husband call him back, at the 800 number.

the number listed above does not work, the 25 google listings have a tax service number in california and the company, the number given to me for pbcm from santandar, drivr financial, does not work.....i am going crazy trying to find out where these people are, their number and how i can get my truck title from them!

called my job left a message to call  a miss powe or mr powe at 800-866-2528 ext 2214 called the number back it just rings and rings and rings and rings nobody picks up. i do not know who this person is.

This number called me today and it was a Ms. Cabral. She told me i had a delinquent account with a credit card and i had to pay it today. I told her i was unable to do so. She asked why. I told her i was unemployed and she said when do you get paid. I refused to tell her. Then she asked when do i get my taxes in!? And i told her i will not be getting taxes and i have not received my W-2s yet and she told me that I had to of received them already because thats the law. She put me on hold and i googled the company. Then she came back and i asked for the company address again. When she reapeted that they were at a PO Box i told her yea. I see that. And she saidwell you must make a payment today and i hung up.

1800-866-2528 ext 2203, a Mrs. Sarganis called me at work and would not get off the phone. Harrassed me to pay settlement or into 4 lump sums, and would ask me to hold on, checked with someone, then back into pressuring me to pay amount that I can't afford. I asked for a lower amount, and letting her know I am going into debt consolidation for the debt.

Finally I hanged up after she refused getting off my work phone. However, she still on the phone when I tried to call my counselor, and tried to work.  I asked her to please get off the phone, then she repeated again on making my payments today.

I did not give out my workphone and donot know how it was obtained by this number, this Mrs. Sarganis.

They called the damn PATIENT line at my work! I'm going to be calling them and advising that I will SUE for harrasement. It's obviously a patient/physician line with the messaging you have to go through first and they left a contact number with someone who is supposed to be speaking with PATIENTS...patients who desperately need to speak to someone about their cancer(s). I dont even know what debt they are trying to collect?!?! Regardless, they should'nt be digging through whatever source they're using and taking precious time away from these people. I have direct number...they need to stick with that if they really want to reach me.

I recently took out a car loan and believe they sold my information. I have NEVER given out my work number and now they are calling me. Seriously pissed off.

I believe this lady (and I use the term lightly), is about the rudest person alive. Not only would she call my cell phone and let it ring one time, she would then call where I work and harass the workers. She refuses to tell her name when asked and calls at least 4/times a day. Its time to quit calling me for a debt I don't owe.

Received a call today, like all of you, even from the years I see this happening. The information I got was 800 866 2528 is a company named PBCM or Professional Bureau of Collections of Maryland, Inc. (http://www.pbccorp.com/). I did not really speak with the person, but she was weird. How? Everytime she asked me a question she paused then refrained from talking directly to me. Well, I will have the last laugh because here is a law you all should know.

1. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation’s consumer protection agency, enforces the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), which prohibits debt collectors from using abusive, unfair, or deceptive practices to collect from you. 2. The Debt Collector Must Verify All Disputed Debts! (https://www.credit.com/debt/top-10-debt-collection-rights/) So if a debt collector is trying to contact you, they need to prove in writing that they now "own" the debt. I received a voice mail this morning, since the 8008662528 is blocked. Then about 30 minutes later, I get a call from my Army brother. He told me they were asking him about my financial status. I am unemployed and stay at home mom, now. I then called the company, a Mr. Ornelas was the one on the phone. I asked what was this call all about. He then puts me on hold, then a Mrs. Estrada is on the phone. I ask her what this regarding ( I asked her twice). She then puts me on hold. So I hung up!!!!
