They call me at all hours. I just received a call @ 8:45 pm est. they say they are a collection agency but I doubt that. They are rude & act like [***] on the phone with you. I haven’t received anything in the mail about this matter so why are they only calling? Plus, when you try to call them, you only get a voicemail. Definitely on my call blocker list!

Is incorrect. Once they make first contact they are required by law to send you a dunning letter postmarked within 5 days of that contact. This is a dunning letter only which provided the name and address of the debt collector, the alleged amount owed, and the name of the original creditor. It also must tell you that you have 30 days from the receipt of that letter to dispute the debt (debt validation). That has to be sent to them in writing. They do not need to respond to that letter but they must cease all debt collection activities until they do.
