Got several calls from this number instructing me to call Conns back, the msg were for a nelson.  I call the number and said I needed to know how to get my number off the call list because the person the calls were for was not connected to my cell phone, which is a work phone.  After a few minute the guy on the  phone confirmed it was not registered to a nelson and said he took my name off the list.

caller doesn't say who they are or why they are calling.  Being a former collections (creditors) attorney, I call back to see what they could possibly want.  Automated number says it is Conns Collections.  Never even contemplated entering one of their stores so I know I don't owe them money...This is going to be fun if they keep calling my home  :)

Lol people who don't pay there bill on time are gonna get called be a grown up and pay ur darn bill Iv never met such irresponsible grown ups who can't pay there bills so ur late ur late look what sign on the contract. And if ur hiding we will call that's why we ask questions and believe me we will find u on ur credit report given by the government it so annoying when people hang up or try to fake there by sayin there or this is the wrong number we will keep calling because that's conns merchandise u have not finish paying for and it is considered stealing if not paid

Seems to be a pattern with these jokers!!  I have had my cell # for over 10 years.  Almost a year now Conn's has been calling me asking for a Quan Nguyen... Sorry wrong number....  Now they are asking for Tony.  Looks like Tony is a co-signer for whatever Quan purchased.  And I'm getting HARASSED!  I have tried Faxing a Cease and Desist letter to their law office but I am still getting calls!!!  I am at the point that I don't EVER what to answer my phone!!!!

You must be that ignorant person who has called me several times. Please keep it up because I could use the money. I am a consumer law attorney in Louisiana and see a class action suit in the making.

It is Conn's.   The best way to deal with them and make them stop is to get a lawyer.  My lawyer stopped the calls with one letter and an email to their lawyer.  If you are getting harassing calls at work or home, even if it is not your account he can probably help you too.  www.justiceintexas.com

Ok first of all I am gathering you work for Conns. You have no right to be judgemental to people that are unable to make the payments on the contract. I got a loan on my name for my ex using his income amount (I didn't work but he worked for the State and made good money). I always made my payments on time and even paid a little extra. When my ex quit his job and I left him, I became a single parent with no child support trying to pay all my rent and utilities plus this high ass payment from the loan (which they offered to refinance and then when all was said and done they said I had to go into the office and sign the refinance but I don't live ANYWHERE near an office). People have different situations and I was once like you working as a collector and paying my bills and thinking how can people not pay their bills, but then I became the person suffering the financial hardships and trying to keep a roof over my child's head all by myself. Regardless of all of this, I do NOT need the back to back calls every single day (they literally call at 1:57 then 1:58 then 1:59 and then leave two messages and then text) and then when I talk to them they using threatening and rudeness to try and get a payment. And FDCPA has regulations regarding this type of unlawful practice so maybe before you try to justify a corporate giant harrassing people and breaking the law, you should realize that whether or not a person pays, they are still a customer and still a human being.

Calling is fine but harassment is not! My husband has an account with them so why should your company harass me about his payment. He is often overseas and yes sometimes I forget to take care of his bill so call and remind me but do not call me 15 to 20 times a day from several different numbers. It is not my problem and if you really want to contact him then call the Navy and find him yourself because half the time I am not allowed to know where he is other than overseas on a ship. And when my 8 year old daughter tells you that I am asleep do not tell her to wake me up! What kinda of BS is that all about! I might be able to somewhat understand that tactic if it was my bill but it is not so why wake me up for your gratification? And why is it that even after the payments has been made you idiots don't read the notes you just keep calling and then get offended when I suggest you read your notes and stop calling me. Conn's collections is a joke! And if someone does sue you guys for harassment and I find out I can promise you I will be listed as a plaintiff in that suit. This company sucks, the employees do not know how to handle customers, and I hope the company goes bankrupt. Mr. Anymous I would love for you to publish your name and allow me to deal with you over my husbands account and if you think you can find him then go for it, because if you can find him while he is overseas I am sure the government would love to provide you with a real job! Yea I am whining because I DID NOT SIGN ANY CONTRACT WITH CONNS nor did I sign a contract that says you can call me numerous times a day!

If you don't pay your bill on time then yes they will call everyday UNLESS you set up a post dated ck or card with them. and if you get paid on the 20th then save money from the ck before to pay yours bill. be responsible. idky everyone is complaining, PAY YOUR BILLS ON TIME AND YOU WONT GET SENT INTO COLLECTIONS, ITS THAT SIMPLE. GROW UP LOL I have an acct with them and only once did i not pay it on time and since then i learned to do it right. .........don't get mad cuz you owe them money and you don't wanna pay, then you shouldn't get an account with them. and for those who "supposedly" don't have an acct with them.....change your number if its such a big deal. they have your number cuz either its YOU who gave it to them or someone random person who did and their gonna keep checking up on that number cuz its what they were given when that acct opened. point is, be responsible and pay your bills on time and everything will be all good. ...oh and how do you think they feel about people like you who complain about getting calls when yet its the customer's fault for not paying their bills. you guys didn't get that stuff for free.

if your hs is deployed then he should have taken care of that with conns before he left, there's options for military personal. and if you live in tx or louisanna then you should know that is a community property state and whats your debt is his debt and vise versa. so ya they can talk to you about his account. oh and why do you let your 8 yr old daughter answer the phone, tell her not too. you talk about harassment, their not harassing you, its their job to collect on accounts that people dont pay. they don't give their merchandise away for free so maybe your hs shouldnt have bought w/e he bought if he wasn't gonna finish taking care of it or if its such a big inconvinence to you to help make the pymts while he's overseas. how do you think conns feels when they give you guys the benefit of the doubt and yall stop paying them. thats wrong, its like stealing from them. dont forget that.

thats all bs........you could always have just given the merchandise back.......which would have been he best thing to do if you could no longer afford to pay for it. why should you KEEP something that you DONT OWN??? explain that to me cuz that just doesn't make any sense. ive been in hardship and if i couldnt afford something or get any help from the company i gave the stuff back cuz it wasn't mine. at least they tried to help you, you refused to meet them back.

i agree with you...all these people are doing are complaining for something thats their own fault lol if they paid their bills on time then the wouldnt get calls from collections. i don't have to work in collections to see that is wrong to stop paying on something that you got a "loan" for.....if they can't afford it then they should just give back the merchandise. they need to grow up!!!!

your calling somebody else ignorant....doesn't louisiana garnish wages if a customer ends up going deliquent or a loan or something. make sure you pay your bill then cuz if your a lawyer im sure theres probably no way outta that one

what causes problems is people not paying their bills.

Well we get calls everyday from these ppl and we paid hem off but that is not good enough...U will still get calls and get told u owe them.....I have filed and do have where everything was paid for in cash!!!!!!!!!!! Do not buy from them y do u think they r call CONNS they really do con u and they do have ex cons running the show

BTW I really do like the fact tha the CONNS employees get on and write stuff on here....Oh I was told by an ex employee the do so dont read some of these things

Guys if you view your contract you signed you authorized conns to call u at any number you listed, atleaset twice each number if contact is made. If you can't pay your bill why not post date a payment? People seem to think avoiding pretending to be some one else or hanging up that they have the upper hand but its our credit not theirs, not only that but calls will continue until paid. They can change due dates and even refinance over the phone . And saying your gonna go to the store when ur 5-15 days past due is unacceptable you have had enough time to go to store and make a payment..they allow you to post date a payment any day within the month so theirs really no reason why a bill can't be paid if you have a job and can.afford the merchandise.. I work for capitol one and believe me conns collection is way more pleasant then most credit companies... so basically u signed contract to terms and conditions, pay your bill no problems!

Conn's kept calling my work only despite me telling them to stop. I occasionally have a payment that is a few days late cause of my pay periods. Financing anything from Conns is like going to a second rate pawn shop. They try to bully my co-workers and me over a payment that isn't 30 days late. I called them back and said that I wasn't gonna be bullied around. They said, I should not be late even past the due date. I said, at least I pay every month. They didn't seem to care. I told them now because of Conns collection policies that I wish to go ahead and charge it off since they won't work with me. I told them to pick up their stuff and they said no bring it back. I said good luck. All they can do in Texas is seek a judgement. They for a fact will settle out before we go to court. BTW the loan is less than 1500. I know that I will waste more of their employees time and cost the company more by leading them along. I have the payoff sitting in a savings account. I'm trying to tick off every last one of them. I hate them...Conns don't bully your paying people that are less than a month behind. Now I'm going to charge this off and the ball will be in my court. I bet you'll work with me then. I'm all grown up come out and let's play ball!!!!

These people are calling my in-laws looking for me and I'm not even late on my payment!  I called them back to complain and they laughed at me on the phone!  Real professional... NOT!!!  I will never purchase anything from these people again.
