    I had a Conns account as well and was without work for 3 months. I told them as soon as I got back going that I would catch back up. Well they took some old checking account info that I used 8 months prior to pay my bill and tried to push through 4 unauthorized payments on that account even though it wasn't even a valid account any longer. Not to mention, they would call non stop all day from phone numbers in various area codes. The last straw was when the called my wife's job and told the secretary it was an emergency so they went and brought her up to the office. I called Dean Malone in Dallas, TX and within a week the calls stopped and within 6 weeks Conns settled out of court and my account was cleared plus after attorney fees I got a check for almost 7k. I will never deal with Conn's again.

    You know you can sue them. They can't call after 9 PM nor before 8 AM, especially on Sunday. They can't call you.

    It seems Conn's calls any and everyone on your phone contacts if you don't pay before the due date. 1st of month my entire family has received calls from Conn's. Numbers I never disclosed as contacts regarding my account.

    All for a class action suit!!!

    I am about to get legal advice. I have had a hardship for a few months. I have asked them for options and they could only give me one. Pay or give it back. I decided to return the merchandise and they are still fiddling around. First my request got sent to the wrong department per Matthew who explained the situation saying "see what had happen was", yes! He really said it that way. The next day Lydia called and had an attitude so I told her I would call back later. I have been active in contacting them on a almost weekly basis, so it's not like I have ignored them. They are very unprofessional and rude. When I call they answer the phone "Hi Lucy?" They don't answer it by saying "My name is Lydia, thank you for calling Conns." I once even asked them if that is even the appropriate way to answer a company phone. They also tried to tell me they could talk to my husband even though he is not on the account. How fancy is that? A complete stranger calling in claiming to be me or my husband could call and they would be okay with discussing confidential information with them. I feel so safe. I am seeking legal advice to get my situation taken care of. I have been telling my friends and family who have been interested to look elsewhere. Oh and whoever is writing and saying people should pay their bills, while this is true, maybe you should go back to school and learn how to spell. It is hard reading Ebonics.

    This number is a real con and I highly doubt it's the actual company Conn's, considering I've scoured their company website and this number does not show up anywhere, neither do any of the other numbers they are calling me from that I have blocked.  I've contacted their customer service team with the issue to see if they can take some kind of legal action for whoever the con artists are that are slandering the company name.  I have never purchased or even been in a Conn's so it can't be a collection agency....

    I keep getting calls from Conns, kons, khans? I have no idea who they are.  I just got this new phone number and they call constantly. I've told them I have no idea who they are asking for or even what they are.  Now I know why the previous person changed their number.

    I am almost done paying them off!!!! After I get them paid I WILL NEVER buy anything from them again! They will call and harass me all day and when I answer they transfer me to a representative and they never answer. But there is always a light at the end of the tunnel and my light is my last payment!

    I get calls all the time from this number.  They only leave messages to call them at 800-898-7105 and say it is Conn's.  I've never done business with them.  In fact I haven't used a store credit card in over a decade.  I tried to get my free credit report but based on my answers to questions about loans/leasing on the report (which I never had a loan or leased) they refused to give my free credit report.  Had to request a fraud alert on all the reporting agencies.  Advise everyone to check their credit.  You might be a victim of identity theft.  I'm suspecting I have been and will investigate.  Meanwhile, these morons keep calling.  And, by the way, I tried to block them on my land line at home and it wouldn't work.  The phone company says it is probably due to them "spoofing" the number on my caller ID which says: Waco, TX -- 254-523-4969 or 4168.  Obviously, if they have to hide the number they're calling from it's a scam.

    This is funny.  Super funny.  Because I had an account with Conn's.  Over 4k in furniture that I purchased and paid off almost a year ago.  They have since called me saying that I owe 1800 more.  I panicked! Come to find out that this is a bad account of my ex husband.  WE HAVE BEEN DIVORCED FOR 13 YEARS!  I explained this to the collector.  I even offered to send them my old dusty divorce decree.  The individual stated that wouldn't be necessary and that they appreciated me being a customer.  So now fast forward I AM STILL RECEIVING CALLS FOR MY EX HUSBANDS BILL.  I don't know where he is, don't know a phone number to give them.  I PAID MY DEBT AND PAID IT OFF EARLY.  I am so annoyed and have been keeping detailed record of all the phone calls that I have been receiving since June of this year.  I am now ready to move onto legal resource.  Conn's just lost a great customer.
