They claimed to be Commerce Bank but they asked for my social security number, my check numbers, and said I missed a credit card payment.  But don't believe this, they are not commerce bank even though they have a recording saying they are commerce bank.  Watch out!

But I didnt answer, Caller Id showed unknown and no number either!!!

This is a scam. Commerce Bank can verify that it's someone posing as them. All Commerce Bank toll-free #'s are listed on Commerce Bank's website.

I have received calls from this same phone number consistently for the past three days. But when I tried to call back it said, "Number was disconnected". So I went to the Commerce Bank website and no numbers match the phone number that called me. errrrrr

This really is Commerce Bank (not actually the bank, itself, but the debt collector for the bank). You don't have to be worried.

They only call from this number if you're obnoxiously overdue on a payment. It's their debt collector which is why it's not on the website. They called me and when I called back they didn't ask for my social security or anything. I've made payments on the phone before so they had all my information already. When I asked them to take the payment out of my checking account THEY confirmed the last 4 digits for ME and gave me my address. They gave me a confirmation code and I'll get one in the mail, as I've gotten in the past. This isn't the first time I've made payments through someone from this number and I've never had my identity stolen or my bank account hacked.

They're legit. Stop worrying.

they call me everyday. i answered once and they told me i owed $2300 and they would help me pay it off. i told them i had records of my credit card payments and that they had the wrong person and they hung up. i called the commerce bank security department and they said it wasn't a valid commerce bank number and there were no flags on any of my accounts that would warrant them calling me. now i just turn my phone off and delete their voicemails

This is their collections department. I made a payment below the minimum payment last month, oops. 20 days after my payment (for below minimum) was received, they started calling. They seem to be extra sensitive these days I called a number on Commerce Bank's website and they verified that number does indeed belong to them, and is their Collection Department. I would be as worried as you would be when any debt collector calls.

They are indeed the commerce bank collections department.  When I had an overdue balance, they listed this number at the bottom of the account statement they mailed me.  I called them and I got my fee waived because it was my first offence.  I had to threaten to cancel my credit card to get them to do it.

Appears to be a legitimate number that was set up for credit card and loan relief payment for victims of Joplin tornado by Commerce Bank:

I was called every day for weeks and I have no business with Commerce.  Called the 9739 number and spoke with a rep who was very cooperative.  Couldn't find my number in their system anywhere and didn't know why I kept getting calls.  Called their main 800 number and spoke with reps who were very apologetic and cooperative.  Could not find my number in their system anywhere but yet said they would turn it over to their managers and try to get it removed in any way they could.   At no time did any of the reps ask for any of my information except my phone number so they could try and find it in their system.

Two days and no phone call, so far so good!

I have received repeated phone calls from this number. Then today and yesterday received voice mails asking me to call Commerce Bank at the phone number listed here. Being the skeptic that I am, I looked up the phone number as you are doing right now to see what others have experienced. Seeing that some have listed this as a debt collector and how they were wrongly being called because they had no accounts with Commerce, I decided to call them back. I spoke with a rep who asked me if I had a Credit or Loan with Commerce Bank. My response was neither. She asked if anyone else in the house had any accounts with Commerce Bank. I responded that I live alone. She then asked for the number by which they contacted me. I gave that to the lady and she looked in her system. She asked me if I knew a person listed on the account (I cannot remember his name). I indicated that I did not. She said that she would remove me from the calling list, but this would take up to 24 hours. She also said that I can ignore any additional phone calls that I received. The lady that I spoke with was very nice and apologized for the inconvenience. Given the circumstance, it was as pleasant of an experience as you get.
At no time was I asked for any other identifiable information other than my phone number.

They call three to four times a day and do not say anything.

These people are persistent and aggrivating.  I have several Commerce Bank accounts and know my banker very well.  At first I told them if I need assistance I would just call my local banker...they hung up.  The second time I flat out old them they were not Commerce and a scam...but they would not admit it.  The third time I played like I spoke spanish, that didn't work as she did also!  I think it's the same girl too, as the voice always sounds the same.  Scary to think some scammer has been given my "file" to try and get pertinent information from me.

I have a Commerce credit card, so when I got a mumbly voicemail that I THOUGHT mentioned Commerce, I called this number right back. The agent identified as Commerce and asked for my WHOLE Social Security number, which was a big red flag to me. When I hesitated and suggested I wasn't sure who she was, she snipped "You called me, Sir." I hung up and found this page and then called the Commerce main customer service number from the back of my card.

THAT agent wanted the last four of my Social, as is usual. She confirmed that the number here in question is "another department" of Commerce - though I suspect it is a contractor, a debt collector. Turns out my balance was past due TEN days in the amount of $30.00.

I figure, even if it this is a Commerce contractor, if they ever call me again, I will deal directly with Commerce instead. They sounded awfully sketchy to me.

It is definitely the true Commerce Bank trying to Collect Debt. Not phishing, not scamming. We just need to pay our bills. I only have issues logging in, so I end up getting this call and pay them. I'll be setting up Autopay once I start my new job so i no longer get calls from 800-997-9739.

If you call back, it tells you it's Commerce and that an associate will be with you soon. Perhaps people that "called back" were calling the wrong number back. Just pay them if you used their money. You are borrowing!

Perhaps you should pay the debt you owe instead of hurting peoples jobs by playing during business. You borrowed money and will have to pay back.

This is a legit number from there collections department. I verified with Commerce Bank. Relax.

This is NOT true! It's the scammer continuing the scam!

I have gotten two calls from this number the second one I was able to answer. First, commerce bank cannot verify this number and told me it was a scam. Second they asked if I could verify my social or acc number, unfortunately before knowing it was a scam I gave my social but then asked if I could verify my current address, phone number and date of birth. That's when I knew something was wrong. They will even say your local bank can verify our number just to keep you on the line as well as saying they are located in Kansas (where commerce corporate is, but location on caller ID just says united states, actual call from commerce says kansas.) After hanging up I Google the number and found this page.

This number called my home phone 9724149686 and leave a massage to looking for Quang N so many time, i said in my home don't have that name but they still call many times ,please help me to stop the call.
