Have received 2 cals from this # in the last 2 days, noone answers.  Who are they? What is going on?

i have like 3 and i started being a t-mobile customer from one week ago and they called i pick up twice no answer and i even waited 5 minutes incase and they dont talk so i jsut hung up adn tehy called agian but i just plain ignore them and now i'm thinking of just plain calling the t-mobile service and block this number if they could. its like a spam but its on the cellphone so freaking annoying.. any got tips to get this # to be block please reply to me. =] much would be appreciated.

Yes, this a survey for T-mobile that you get when you first sign up with them, and yes they have called me serveral times with no one on the line.  If you get this call, call and complain to T-mobile.  When I just talked to them said they had no idea this was a problem.  I pointed out that they should type the number into google and see how many complaints there are about that number.

This caller claimed that she is part of T-Mobil service. She wanted to conducted a survey on customer service and asked if I called T-Mobil customer service within the last two days. She hang up after I said NO. I called the number right back and it belongs to a survey company...hmm weird. And I received the called around 9pm on a Tuesday.

Both my husband and I have had the same number call us on our cell phones.  Has anyone find out who owns this number?

Just someone else adding a comment to this blog. I would ask these people to take my number off their list.

They got me around 8 this evening on my cell. I thought when I registered with the "Do Not Call" list for cell phone numbers that meant DON'T CALL ME!

I got the same call a few days after getting a phone from T-mobile (at the beginning of January). I just looked online at my usage details and saw the number so I started looking it up and found this post.

But I just remembered that I got a call from someone wanting to conduct a survey about T-mobile and the employee that assisted me around the same time. I answered all the questions (all of them were about T-mobile and the employee) and that was that. I haven't heard from them since

This is a survey company calling on your Cell Phone.  It costs you minutes, and this should be stopped.  Anyone know how?

Received a call from 801-623-4631 on cell 18:40 pm - evening of 2-18-09.  I didn't answer it.  No message. No info. left on phone.

i got a call from this number googled it and found you guys I am a T-Mobile

Yup... im so glad I checked online to see who this # was... I answered to this call twice today and nobody said anything... but i'm a Tmobile customer and have been for 7 years. I called customer service yesterday, a friday afternoon to see if our phone line was eligible for a phone upgrade and then today... im getting these calls. Wow... well Tmobile.. ur customer service sucks... is that what you want to know????

I've received calls from 877-819-6042 also.  I don't think that any call (or do-not-call) database has been reached. There are large computer phone banks out there that will dial every possible number combination in known cell phone exchanges. Their goal is to see which numbers are active. Most just sell those numbers to telemarketers (many located overseas). A few others try to hack the systems, hoping someone answers then hitting key combinations that might (on some phones) allow them to pass through, make free calls etc. It's really just a guessing game for them to see if some combo might work. But it's mostly computerized, so they just let the computers run day and night.
