keeps calling my cell phone  wont take me off the call list

They will not quit calling. I asked them to stop calling and that we are not interested in what they have to offer. They still keep calling our house number 3-5 times daily. Our number is also on the DNC list so this "harassment" is getting really frustrating.

I have been getting calls from them in the past couple weeks and have not been answering them. I decided to answer them and they do not say anything. My number is on the DNC list.

These people have been calling me at least twice a day! No friggin' message. Since they call while i am at work, it was slow enough for me to actually answer and twice now there has been no response. I wasn't sure if anyone was even on the line but i said 'you can lose my number now you are beyond annoying" and hung up.
don't worry though, I'm sure they will call again tomorrow 2 more times and just irritate me yet again.

We have been getting several calls a day from this number.  The caller ID says APX Alarm.  If we answer nobody is ever there.  This is very annoying.

I get a call from this number at least 3 times a day. When i do pick up the phone they hang up.

I got the call too.  Once I finally answered, no one was there, so I finally blocked it on my phone.  Let's see if they start calling from another number!

I get this phn# calling me at all hours of the day.  Called back, APEX alarm systems???? Only a machine to talk to!!!  I live in canada!!! Is it even possible to get there alarm system even if I wanted to??
How did they even get my number is what i want to know.

I received a call from this number.  It said on the caller ID it was from 801-765-5976.  I answered it and it was a guy wanting us to buy an alarm system from him.  Of course i told him No and that I already have a system he promptly hug up, so now I am getting calls and hang ups from the same number and no messages left. I feel like I need security from these phone idiots, real annoying!

Joker just called my cell phone for about the 20th time in a week. He actually spoke this time - asked for what I'm guessing is some random name. He asked me if I was a homeowner in my town of ******. I said no, but could give him my mom's number. He was all excited about that and I nicely gave him the number to the local police station... mwahhhahaaahhaaaaa!!

I get at least two calls from this number ON A REGULAR BASIS.  Naturally I am not answering since it's usually a scam, soliciting something:  1-801-765-5976

Exact same M.O. so they are still at it.

I get these calls 10 or more times per day on my cell phone, my mom is like "answer the damn phone, maybe its a college calling," i just let it ring and ring, never leave a message, not like i can receive any. they even had the nerve to come by my house and offer to put a sign in my front yard and pay us $1500-$2000 for just letting it sit there, yea right!

This is APX Alarm. I have never contacted this company, but they were calling my cell phone several times a day. I don't give my cell number out to anyone except family.

I have gotten them to stop calling. Here is what I did--maybe it will help you get some relief too.

First, call the number back, press the number to "remove from call list" (I think it's 4), and leave a message demanding that they stop calling you. Be sure to leave your phone number. This is an important step, but not the most important.

Next, write an email to the following addresses: sdean@apxalarm.com, support@apxalarm.com
Cut and paste your email into the customer feedback forms at the following APX websites: http://www.apxalarm.com/Support/WeListen and http://www.apxalarmscam.com/

The first sentence of your email should say: "Remove my phone number [insert phone number] from your calling list immediately." Your email should contain the following phrases: cease and desist, harassment, monetary damages, illegal. "Monetary damages" is particularly relevant and crucial if they are calling your cell phone and making you use minutes.

These key words tell them you're familiar with the legal system, but let them draw their own conclusions about implications. I do not recommend that you threaten them with a lawsuit. Many customer service depts have to "escalate" correspondence that threatens legal action, which means your email may get pushed around and it will take longer to be addressed. Use terminology that suggests you'd be a formidable opponent in the courtroom, and let them come to the conclusion that they don't want to mess with you anymore.

File a complaint with the Do Not Call registry (www.donotcall.gov) EVERY TIME these guys call you. It only takes a minute each time, and although the DNC won't act on your complaint specifically, if they get enough complaints, they will be able to do something. Keep records about when you get called by APX (easy if you have a cell phone or caller ID).

For good measure, my email also mentioned that I'd already reported them to the DNC five times, and that I intended to contact the BBB, my attorney general, and my state legislators if they didn't stop calling posthaste.

Haven't heard a peep from them since. It's been about two days since I sent the email. If they start calling again, I fully intend to follow through with my promise to start contacting every consumer advocate organization I can think of. The good thing about email is that I have written record of what I told APX, and when, and I can forward it as needed.

When caller ID showes this number, I answer and lay the phone down until it beeps. After a while they give up.
