- Corby Alger replies to bmcwGreat response! I haven't been thoroughly annoyed yet, but try to be proactive when that option is on the table :)
- DBgot a call from them 1:11 a.m. in Northern California
- Matthewemailed my # to optout@westernwats.com and they called me again the next day anyway.
It's 2010; there's no excuse for that.- Caller: Fedex Office
- ElsaThey called our home phone number a few times. The call says "unknown call". They never left a msg, but today they left a msg by accident: It seems that 2 guys were talking and one said: "You should hung up, man!"
- Caller: Unknown
- AmyThey called at 9:50pm. If this is a customer satisfaction survey, it seems awfully late to be calling
- Caller: Caller ID: 801-823-2033
- law officeThe company calls and then hangs up or when I answer the line is dead.
Bothersome. We have used Fed Ex Kinkos. Will complain directly to them. Their fault.- Caller: unknown but # was 8018232033 I *69'd it.

- Caller: unknown
- FrankI answered the call this afternoon and ask to be removed from the call list. The lady assured me she would do that immediately.

- JerryGot call today from 802-823-2033. Tired of thes calls when I am on no call list. No message.
- Caller: Don't know
- KrisTI really appreciate the suggestions from HadEnuff ...and I called the Exec. Asst. to the CEO (that's who gets things done, in actuality, as anyone who has worked for a large corporation is amply aware!). She was unsure who Western Wats is or whether they have been enjoined to do follow-up customer service surveys; but she said she would definitely be researching the situation. I opted not to call Western Wats to get on THEIR Do Not Call list because I have had experiences where the party in question views it as a confirmation that your phone number is a valid one and they sell it to or share it with our companies! The DNC list purpose, in my opinion, needs to be taken more literally; and, instead of seeing themselves as "technically exempt", should be leaving messages and/or asking permission in advance ...the company itself (in this case, FedEx Office) could easily mention, print on their receipts, etc.,letting customers know they may be receiving a call. I don't think FedEx Office wants to alienate customers, but sometimes (all too often) someone in the company is assigned a project and finds the easiest, fastest way to the assigned result, not considering what OTHER, possibly negative, results are possible.
- Caller: Western Wats

- Susancalled me- nobody there- have never done business w/ Kinkos nor sent or received a fed ex package this year at least. They are annoying, companies should not be able to have 3rd parties they supply your private info to w/o your knowledge or consent call you for any reason unless you have agreed to it up front and also been given the opportunity to opt out. In fact, opt out should be automatic unless the customer specifically agrees to be contacted for any sort of survey or future sales call. When you get these calls, complain and don't do business with the company again.
- Mr ZinnHere is a great way to not only get them to stop calling but also waste their time just as much as they waste yours.
Call them back select option 2 to be taken off the call list.Ask once you get a live person who they are,Federal Business ID#(every company has one),the reason why their company is calling.
They will not give you any information but will be happy to take you off their list as they claim they do not qualify for the DNC List.
Let them know you are calling the BBB with their Address, phone number,Fax number, and time and date they called.
Let them know that if their company calls again you will be happy to arrive in their lobby in Ogden Ut and discuss it with them.
Goto the DNC web site and file a complaint with the info for their company.Once the BBB and DNC get enough complaints they will put an end to the endless loopholes. The fact is they are breaking the rules, just because they are not selling you something does not meen they may call you for a survey,if they want me to answer a survey they should be able to provide a Federal Tax ID# to verify they are a legit company, the reason they are calling and on who's behalf.
Thank them for wasting your time and let them know how happy it made you to call them back and waste their time.
I know the only company in the last year I have given my number to is Best Buy........so guess what Best Buy.......I will never do business with you again......sadly many more people are getting tired of the retailers selling off customer info under the guise of survey taking.......so Fed Ex,Kinkos,Best Buy.......enjoy it when you go out of business.- Caller: Ogden UT (Western Watts)

- Cat replies to TonyI assume you are retired and have no friends or family. Reminds me of my father-in-law who opens every single piece of junk mail he receives and takes any phone calls.
- CatThanks to whoever found out who this number belongs to! My solution was to add this number to my block number app on my cell phone. It's called Mr, Number on the Android Market. They call, it rings on their end and then hangs up on them. Very cool.
