this happened to me too, I had a new cell phone number with T-Mobile and started receiving these phone calls, I changed my phone number and am still receiving these phone calls.  I haven't given my number out to anyone, and I don't have a credit card with capital one, and each time within hours of getting a new number they started calling me.  Who is your provider? Maybe it is connected with T-mobile.

I live just outside Seattle, (pacific time zone) and this number rang my phone at 8:34am on Sunday, August 26, 2012. Hello, it is a SUNDAY...I was sleeping!! Mind you, yes, I owe Capitol One a back payment, I've been unemployed for almost 3 years, and in that time I've applied to over 320+ jobs...and yes I've been working things out with them, last payment was made in July, 2012, just last month. So, I am actually not very much behind...but to get calls at 8:34am on a Sunday morning...well, how is that going to make me feel very cooperative? How do I report them to the FCC?

It is capital one collection agency.  I lost my job and I'm broke.  I don't begrudge them contacting me to find out what was going on, but I've spoken to them a few times and they keep calling.  Today they are calling me every hour and a half.  I told them the last time I spoke to them that it is a waste of their time to call and a waste of my time to talk to them and I would not be answering any more of their calls.  I am trying like hell to get a job, if I do, then I will call THEM and try to work out some payment with them.  But they cannot take a hint that there is no point in calling me.  I'm not choosing to not pay, I don't have any money.

Buy yourself a pro caller id blocker,,all you have to have is caller id on your land line,,this thing is a life saver,,add there # to the blacklist and never here them ring your phone again,it holds 1500#s so no matter how many collectors or who ever call you will have a slot for them...when they call they get one ring ....then nothing,,it hangs up on them,,meanwhile you never herd it ring....Got mine from ebay,PRO CALLER ID BLOCKER....if you are getting collector calls you want this belive me,,,,it does not cost you anything to block them,,like your phone company charges you for every block # and they cant block but 12...hope this helps some of you from them annoying ringing all day. god bless our poor souls for being poor.

The calling from this number is daily, anytime, and you can not call back to inquire.

Please stop calling me at any time don't account Capitol One

I have two Capital One credit Cards and an auto loan, but as soon as my tax refund comes in the two credit cards will paid off and riped up.

Linda keeps calling multiple times a day. How can I get it to stop??? This is becoming a very annoying call......When I call the number back it says it Capital One, but its auto system is asking for a card number.... What can I do to stop this, it also wants me to apply for a new card number.

I keep getting calls from this number. I have no idea who they are and there is no one on the line when I answer it. Others say it is a scam call trying to get your credit card number.

Been ignoring calls from linda for months, figured it was a phishing scam. Low and behold I opened up old mail that had been piling up and I had a credit card through capital one I never signed up for! Sony seems to have switched their playstation credit card from chase to capital one at some point, and I had a new card which I never activated, with charges I never put on it. Called capital one fraud department, cleared it up and closed the card out.

Pick up phone....wait.....someone WILL come.....let her have it.  Called 8:00am Mothers Day and when she came on, asked for some one by name.  I let her have it full force such she started to get mad.  Hasn't called since.

I don't have a balance with Capital One... So, what next?

I have a Capitol One account. When I called this number back, they wouldn't say who it was. They call 4-6 times a day, never leave a message.
