I get calls from this number telling me to press 1 for a lower rat on my account. I have no idea what they a referring to . I hang up.

They say they are a real estate investment company, and about that time I hang up..My cell is my business phone so it's very important..and I can't screen calls, I have been getting 3-4 calls a day on my cell for the past 2 Months, calling the number and opting out does no good. HOWEVER this web-site will!!!

Calls multiple times every day for at least 3 days.  I called back, and they offer a chance to be "Removed" from their list by pressing #1, but the either ignore this or treat it as a confirm of a live person at this number and sell the number to other off-shore phone scammers.

Congressman Eric Massa of NY now has a task force investigating these people. There is a phone number embedded in the message they leave on your machine. When you "press 1" to "speak to an account manager" their real phone number is dialed. These numbers need to be collected and provided to police aganecies.

My call was from Dave Debrees(not sure if that's how you spell last name) and he stated he was from Sweepstake Promotions and that I had entered some contest to win a car and I had won a top price. Said to call 1-800-991-7536. I called and it went to VM where name given for voice mail box was some other guy's name and not Dave and to leave a message so I hung up. It seems to be some time share thing. Check out this number 866-506-0953 as the stories are the same just different number

Call came in 11:45 a.m. from 804-234-9010.  No response on other end, no message.  Very annoying!

Got a call at 7:20 pm 6/4/2009 from "Sales Dept 1-804-234-9010".  I didn't recognize it so I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.  I called back the number and got a recording: stating my phone number and then "If this is the number you wish to move press 1 now or if you would like to enter a number press 2 now."

Just got a call from "Sales Dept 804-234-9010" and this time I answered.  Recording "You are qualified to reduce your credit rate.  Press 1 to speak to <blah, blah blah>"  I pressed 1.

them: "This is Roxanne.  Who am I speaking with?"
me:thinking <dumbass you called me>  "What company is this?"
Roxanne:"Card Services.  You qualify for lowering your credit card rate as long as you have more than $4k of debt.  Do you have that much?"
me:thinking<dumbass wouldn't you have record of that if you're a legit company?>  "You are not allowed to call this number and solicit me."
Roxanne: "Well, you pressed one." and she hungup

I hate telemarketers

keep getting phone calls from whom ever.The automated message says to remove your number press 1 but they still call from other numbers like (805)4138140.Its like a revolving chain of numbers.Any suggests really getting frustrated?

how do I get them to stop calling? I'm on the national do not call list already......

This call just came into my home.  I have an ankle injury and am on crutches.  I cannot run to my corded phone.  Thankfully, I do have the ringer off and the Directv Caller ID on my television screen.  Therefore, I can see who is calling.  I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST!!  I can't report ANYTHING to them until...at least...June 13th, which is VERY UNFAIR!!  STOP CALLING ME, NOOBS!!

According to the WhitePages.com reverse lookup (see URL below) this is an unpublished Land Line provided by Cox Telecom out of Varina, VA, USA. FWIW, The company may be using an Asterisk Box to handle inbound calls, recognizable by the inbound automated voice that repeats your number when you ask the company to remove your phone number from its lists. Mind you, while the phone number is associated with Varina, VA, USA, the agent with whom you speak could be anywhere in the world.

caller calls at least two or three times a day, doesn't matter what time either.  I've called the number on my caller id and pressed 1 to remove my number to no avail.  I'm on the do not call list but guess it doesn't matter.

just to let others know that they're still around. called me at 3:35 CST, but i don't pick up any #'s i don't recognize.  if it's someone i know and "urgent," then they should leave a message.  if not, i didn't waste my time.., except to look the # up and here i am....  they even got me to waste 5 mins of my life on them without picking the phone up!!!  hhaa

These people are pushing me a little too far! You can press #2 to be removed from their calling list (never mind the fact that I've been on the National DO NOT CALL list for over a year).  I pressed #2 the first three times they called.  Then I started pressing #1 to speak to a live person.  The first person said that she would "note my account" that I wanted to be removed and apologized for the call.  The second person hung up on me before I could finish the request.  With the third person, I decided to play a little game.  I pretended to be interested in their offer of lowering my interest rate a credit card.  When he asked me for some detailed information, I asked him to hold on while I went to find the statements.  I put the phone down on mute and walked away.  He hung up after about four minutes and called me back on a "Private Caller" number.  I answered and he said that we must have been disconnected.  I told him that I wasn't interested and that I was just trying to waste his time like he was wasting mine.  He laughed and hung up on me.  Then he called right back!  It only rang once and then he hung up.  This is bordering on harassment!  We have reported them to the FCC and the state attorney general.  I certainly hope these "sales people" working for this company are saving their paychecks because they are all going to be out of a job soon!
