I've been receiving calls from this number for weeks.  My husband has told them he's already given, but the calls continue.  Friday I received a call while making breakfast and getting my kids off to school.  It was 8:00am!!  I'm glad to be armed with some info for the next time these cretins call back.

This number has shown up everyday for the last two weeks, doesn't matter if it's day or night, and when we do answer, it's "CLICK".  I want to find someone to speak to about it, it's been brewing and it's going to be a good one!!!

They have called Five times in the last two days and i'm tired of it.

They called us twice on the evening of April 3rd at our Arlington, VA home.  *69 IDed the number and a quick Internet search found they're asking for money for some environmental group . . .  they called again on the morning on of the 4th and I asked to be taken off their phone list.  The woman said "We don't have one of those" and she hung up . . .  Pretty annoying.

This is the 3rd time this week that they have phoned and hung up. Now that I know who they are, no answer for them

The caller is a telemarketer for the VA Fraternal Order of Police.  Send an email to VAFOP@aol.com and the FOP will put you on a No Call List.

The FOP was very responsive.

This number keeps calling, leaves no message, and I tried to call back and got a message, it is from a fund raiser group! Irritates me to no end, we should all report it on the do not call list!

Today is Sunday and this number me at 12:27 and 1:59 pm.  They started calling on April 7th called twice that day once in the morning and once in the evening and twice again on the 10th.  I haven't answered it, but finally decided to look up the number from the looks of it I'm glad I didn't answer.  Wish they would stop calling

They have been calling from 804-415-4044 at least every other day for the last ten, and just called at 8:05 am this morning.

They identified themselves as Faternal Order of Police

I have received calls from this number probably for the last month or so.  The Caller ID shows a variety of names:  Local Call and Hopewell, VA are the most "popular".  I have also recieved calls at all times of the day:  M-S (as early as 8am and as late as 9:30-10pm) and all times of the day on Sunday.  Decided to check the number out and found this website, I'm elated to know I'm NOT the only one.

We get this call everyday and I never answer it, hoping they leave a message, but they never do. After googling the number I found your site and many more complains about this Howewell, VA (804-415-4044) number.  Don't care much who it is, but it's beginning to get annoying they call at all hours of the day and night.  Latest one is dinner time Sunday night!!!  I have my number registered on the DoNotCall.gov site.  Isn't this illegal???

mpi calls for non-profit groups so reporting them to the feds for the do not call list does absolutely nothing as non-profits and political groups are exempt from the dnc, your just wasting their time and preventing them from dealing with actual violations.

and it is true that 85-90% of money donated thru mpi stays at mpi, but they aren't stealing, the charities are fine with this, they pay nothing for mpi's services and get their 10 or 15 percent just for existing. mpi foots the bill for everything and all of their solicitors are supposed to disclose this if any one asks about how much money actually makes it to the charity in question. it's not really a scam, but anyone who knows this is undoubtedly going to chose to donate directly if at all. i'm not saying what they do is right, but anyone who just donates money without question when someone calls their phone can't expect anything better, and should expect much worse.

p.s. as for them hiring minors and felons i think they're doing a great service, there's not a lot of job opportunities for those groups of people, and everyone today needs a job, regardless of their youthfulness or past history, don't look down on it just because its something you wouldn't do

Same problem with these callers as folks list above. It's like getting a disease you can't get rid of. I signed up for the FTC do not call list but it will be a month before it becomes effective supposedly. Thanks for the opp to post on this site. Hope these leeches can be put out of business.

I submitted this in the Do Not Call Registry Complaint form:
These guys call purporting to be the Fraternal Order of Police.  But, actually, they are a private, commercial company that donates about 6-10% of the funds they collect to the actual charities they represent.  So, this should not be considered exempt from Do Not Call registry.  It is a commercial company, only incidentally giving a donation to charity but using the charity as a front.  It would be the same as if the dry cleaner called and said they were from Children's World Services, and they donated 5% of their income to that charity.  Then, anyone could be a charity.

So glad I have caller ID and can choose not answer such calls, however, I wish they would stop.
