Keep getting calls from this number in the middle of the night ....we are in the UK!!

Same here, I don't pick up unknown numbers.  I just save it with a "Don't answer" as the name so my kids don't pick it up

These folks don't care about any "do not call lists".  They are already breaking the law by soliciting to cell phones as well as forging caller ID.  In the last week I've probably received 2 dozen calls from various numbers.  I've started to add them to my address book with a custom ringtone of "mute", but they keep forging new numbers.  The only way this is going to stop is a concerted effort between the various telephone companies, and the FCC as these calls are crossing state lines.
Actually I think I'm going to contact the FCC next week about these.  I suggest folks keep logs with times and numbers and do the same.  When we find these scumbags I suggest "enhanced interrogation", perhaps by wiring hooked up to their "sensitive bits" and powered by a thousand cell phone batteries ;-)

I listened a moment and heard 'Did you know the warranty on your vehicle is about to expire?' and so I hung up.  This on a cell phone.

Just called me too. Of course, I didn't answer, but I have had messages left on my cell in the past related to my automobile warranty (which I never had). Let us pray that Mr. Cacciatore becomes intimately familiar with a pulmonary embolism in the very near future.

Samething.  This guy called my cell phone and hung up.  How do we take legal action against this guy?

Got a call from this number at 12:29 today on my cell phone (a few minutes ago).  I didn't pick it up.

I got the call about a half hour ago, on my cell. Picked up, and they rambled about taking my vehicle from my premises, If I didn't pay. Pay what? What vehicle? I'm 18... I don't own a car..

They were pushy, rude, and wouldn't answer a single question.

I had them take my name off of their calling list. If you don't wait through the whole message, and press one as it tell you to, they'll continue calling.

I just got the call but was talking on the other phone and before I could answer it the caller hung up.....good.

I got called from this number too.  Easiest and best thing to do: if you don't recognize the number, don't answer the phone.  If it is someone you know or something important, they will leave a message.

no one said anything when I answered..this gets on my nerves when people call my cell phone and do this!!

I received this call a few minutes ago on my cell. I said hello 4 or 5 times. I was just about to hang-up when a recorded message started in mid sentence saying, "you can't afford to miss out on this offer"! Next, I was given a choice to press 1 to get more details or press 2 to be removed. I pressed 2 and the call abruptly ended...VERY IRRITATING & POINTLESS PHONE CALL!

I just got a call from this number too, didn't answer it and they didn't leave a message. They called my cell phone. How can we stop them?
