Started getting calls from this number today on my cell and work.  How do I make it stop?  I don't owe anyone anything and cant be bothered at work like this!!!

same crap, but now when i try to answer no one's there and they still to go str8 to voicemail some how, if you can help it dont answer it cause i think once you have their system snatches you up and keeps you in their database forevere, and for the dumbazz saying its regarding a pay day loan, thats not accurate fool, its called scamming i never got a pay day loan or whatever that is and no one but my wife and mother have my phone number and we work for our money. we owe no one just regular bills like cable and gas and electric thats all and oh yeah our mortgage, and all of it is always early. i hope someone tracks these people down and we can sue or file some sort of charges against them.

these indian [***] kept calling me until i really cussed him out i dont owe anybody, i dont write checks, and i dont get loans and until you can give me some useful info about your call and why your harassing me you can [***]. i also told him if its that important to you then you pay it you none english speaking [***]. these people need to get a life, they got the right one now. damn [***] trying to scare innocent hard working people, try someone who deserves it. its good to see that not only myself have experienced this unpleasant phone call and to know its really some bullsh#t, and that no one is really using my identity with check fraud and loans. A Kevin Petterson left 4 voicemails in one hour.  The number to call them back was 916-236-4572. Then he proceeded to call my job and told the receptionist this is a true emergency.  I called the man back and when I asked how much do I owe and to whom, he refused to tell me.  He claims a company pressed charges on me and the case file was emailed to my email address.  I'm a 25 year old female and I freaked.  I used to have credit problems, but got back into shape.  So I thought "o maybe I do owe money" He told me I must provide my visa and write a notarized letter.  I told him I don't have time for a notary today and he told me its ok just fax the letter anyway.  I called the BBB and was told the guys number doesn't come up.  Its most likely a collection agency, not a law firm!  She said they must tell you specifically what company is looking for money and if I was sued I must received it in writing, not through email.  I cancelled my bank account and reopened a new one.  The man also told me my supervisor was going to jail as well and they would call my job to tell them what a thief I am.  Even if I do owe money, which I don't believe I do how do these people get away with this.  I'm nervous they will call my job and harrass people I work with.  Anymore advice email me at jerzygirl1620@aol.com

These people are calling from India.  That's why the # is incomplete.  It is a major scam.  He has a heavy Indian accent and says his name is John Smith.  DON'T call him back.  They want you to call them back at 916-236-4571.   Ask for the information in writing and if you do get something turn it over to your lawyer.  Without a name of a company, they can't do anything but if they do get a name the lawyer can sue them for harassment at the very least and impersonating a government agency.  They have been calling my house, cell phone and even my job.  They call each number at least 10 times a day.   They also called a friend of mine and told him that he would be extradited to California because of this.   I had a payday loan a while back and it is paid off now.  This guy is still calling my job and harassing me.

I received a call today from a heavy indian accent man named Kevin Paterson who had my last 4 digits of my SS and some other info and contacted me about saying I had owed a past payday loan an over due amount and I had to be in court the next day. I recently filed chapter 7 and have not had any problems since because well it took care of all my debts. He said no it doesn't cover this loan. I kept asking for a case number and the summons to be mailed or faxed to me. He wanted to do it to the business I used to work at and I was like I don't work there anymore. Finally he gave me a number to call back. - 559-838-0287 which is a california number and still works.
He gave em some phony case number and no other info and told me to have my lawyer contact him.

Bull totally bull.

This is a scam!!! Do not pay them any money!!!! FBI, FTC, and Dept of Homeland Security are aware and are investigating.

Last Night I was on my way to a concert with a buddy of mine and my phone rang for the 10th time that day it was a blocked call! Finally I answered and no one was there so I hung up. Sure enough 5 seconds later it rings again and I send the call to voicemail, and my phone rings again, I hit the end button and before I know it I ended 24 calls in 3 mintues then finally the phone rings again and I answered pissed off and it was a man with a heavy indian accent telling me that two of my buddys and I are going to have warrents out for our arrests monday morning because we took some kind of loan from a goverment fund and that we were trying to run with the money not to mention it was supposedly a 300$ from what he told me.lol  Then he said if I made a payment on the phone with him i wouldnt be arrested and they would do everything to help me.I had absolutley no clue what this guy was talking about and when i told him that he started to be rude and talk over me and keep telling me that this is a serious matter and he needs a payment from me so i hung up on him. He calls back and i asked him what company i supposedly had a loan from and he kept saying he was from some kinda of law firm not to mention he was calling me at 8:30 pm. I hung up on him again and he tried to call back one more time but then this morning he called me back and said it was my last chance or they are persueing with the arrest warrents for the 3 of us  on monday and then i screamed at him and told him he is a scam and im not giving him [***] then i hung up, he is still calling and it sooo annoying i cant take it anymore!

Yes all the above is true and they also threatened me they called from the 810676161 number on my voicemail they did leave a 2092054251 phone number, They do have a heavy indian accent and they did wish me good luck and told me God Bless... I gave them a piece of my mind and I called the police, and bbb its a scam people. Wish we could put them in jail, they are calling my "refrences" and harassing them as well. they called my job repeatedly from this incomplete number so I gave em my cell so they can stoo callin the job. so I ask how can I pull money from a dry well... lol. I told him to give me the money for the loan then he started sayin how he can pay me 1500 % night to have sex wit me. I told him no. so he asks me to b his girlfriend lol tht was funny funny funny

You have all already answered your own questions here, about a scam, that you looked up this Jennie Smith and the Pay Day Loan scam.  I got her good this week, told her to google her name that the police showed me this site, and I blocked the 3 incoming phone#'s they called me on from my home phone, using *60.  Please call your local phone company regarding this feature.  I have had 3 days of no  phone calls from these scam artisits, ESPECIALLY when I told her to google her name....she hung up on me!  I never had a Pay Day Loan, as I always pay CASH for anything I have ever wanted, so I was 100% percent positive that I did not owe it.  Good Luck!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT GIVE HIM ANY MONEY! IT IS A TOTAL SCAM! This guy has been calling my office since July. He must have been looking for a student that listed my office as their work number, but when he heard my voice, apparently, his goal changed and he had been calling my office ever since just trying to talk to me and get my cell#. He has called me at my job as may as 25 times a day, daily since July. I have contacted the police and they can not do anything because he is using either a spoof phone or an internet phone that can not be traced. I can not get him to stop calling me at all and I don't know what else to do. I already contacted the phone company and he could not be traced past this 9 digit number. Last week some firm called affidavit and financial regulations called me from (850-810-5825). They had my entire information, social#, I mean everything!! I spoke to 3 different people (Sabastian Taylor, John Taylor, Nick Thomas) and they all changed the amount of my money they said I owed. They gave me an address when I asked for it (200 E. Gaines St in Tallahassee FL.) but they did not want to give any other of their info. When told him that by federal law I am required to have all the same paper work he has he said, are you crazy you want all 26 copies of the affidavit. I said yes you dumb f****. He immediately hung up on me. Then this morning another guy calls from back office of Department of Customer Affairs and Regulations and this time it was California. I hung up on his a** and called the number (626-608-6397) and this guy answers (Julian Marshall) and I start investigating his a**, this guy can't handle the heat but before he hung up he told me they were located in San Francisco. I called again and the guy that answers is Attorney Alex Rogers. He sounds very professional and legit. When asked him where is he located he says Los Angeles County. So I investigated his a** and he said that I was going to be sorry and that someone was going to personally deliver the paperwork I requested. This entire time I am talking to this and getting my own info from him he messes up by giving me a totally different bank name and routing #, he then corrects himself and tries to repeat my bank info which I stopped him by saying that he is breaking the law by repeating my info over the phone.--- an hour later a guy calls back but leaves a message. This time it is from Pennsylvania......... they all said I had 3 serious allegations against me 1. violation of federal banking 2. check fraud 3. dept by disception. These people keep calling me.They  started last year and stopped after I threatened to call the police for harassment. However,the calls have just started again.Its not just from one number..it is a few. saying that I have charges against me and my social security number. And that I must pay the 10,000 dollars that I supposedly took a loan out for. They know all of my info and named people that I do know as they call my "References".Its scary to think that these peole know all of this! I just googled it and found this site.Suprising I must say to learn that it is happening to all of you as well.I know how frustrating it is and there has to be a way of stopping it..
