Report a phone call from 817-440-1027 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- Juanita Wokay the fun started for me today - I called Sandra Paredes, Sales Executive and was transferred to Paula Siddle - it will be 48 hours and I am off their list - I reinforced I am registered with the government do not call list and am recording and tracking their calls and the next call will go to my attorney and anyone else for processing. She assured me it will be off in 48 hours - stay tuned. The number I called was 214-631-1166 - just ask for Sandra Paredes to cut to the chase - hope it works - stay tuned!!
- Caller: Silver Leaf Resorts
- Juanita Wan update - also go to the www.donotcall.gov site and make sure your number is registered - then file a complaint there with the specifics - they will go after them - especially if you are on the do not call list!!
- TXI would hate to have an emergency and not be able to call because of the 817-440-1027 number. The paramedics know my house and me by name. I looked up the phone no. to find out where its coming from and its based out of Irving, TX but the call is from Atlas, TX. I unplugged one of my phones and use one that I can turn off; it still rings but I don't hear it. The calls are anoying but they can be detrimental to people's health.
- Caller: Unknown. I assume Silverleaf as above.
- Steve47 calles from this number in the last week, I'm documenting, and forwading to the FCC, everybody thats being harrassed by these people should do the same, maybe a federal lawsuit will slow them down

- PegasusI have read with a great amount of interest others posts here about this company making repeated unwanted solicitation phone calls. Some of the blogs I have read from other lists on the web have stated things like "This should be illegal." Folks.. it is. Simply put, and I cannot speak for other states, but in Texas any company or person that makes repeated unwanted phones calls to your residence is breaking the law.
After seeing this number repeatedly on my my caller ID I finally did a count for May 14. 22 calls in one day! For May 15th - 16 Calls with most of those coming in starting in the afternoon. Enough already, this had been going on for weeks! I called the number back and spoke with a call taker who identified himself as "Awards Verification." I told him what I have reported here about the shear number of calls coming from 817-440-1027 and simply told him the following: "I have received repeated unwanted unsolicited phone calls from this number. I am informing you now that if I receive just more phone call from this company, I will, without hesitation call my local police department and report you for harassing phone calls." The guy tried to argue with me that he needed to speak with my wife, but that is bologna. I own the number to my residence, it is in my name. I have the right to demand that such phone calls cease and desist from occurrence.
But I do want to make one thing clear... This is not an idle threat you make without some consequence... or that you make lightly. If you are not willing to stand in court and testify against this company, and you are not willing to go on record with your police department for making the call... my suggestion.. DON'T CALL THE POLICE. I was however, not joking. The happy ending? For the first time in weeks, my phone fell silent.. least for the rest of yesterday. Not one more phone call last night.. (I'll check today when I get home to see if started up again.)
Call the number back people.. tell them to stop or you will take action! That is how you stop the phone calls. If enough people call and complain.. eventually the police or the Feds or others that CAN put a stop to it will get involved.
Best of luck to you.- Caller: Award's Verification

- BethNo one has called me yet - I was just lookig for some information/number to call because I responded to "You have won $500 Gift card to Walmart" if I just selected one item -- so I signed up for Netflix. I received movies all right - and they have no trouble finding me to bill me -- but no Walmart gift card! And I kept no record of that email - was I just stupid, stupid STUPID? I guess no gift card is forthcoming, huh?! At least I have avoided the phone calls...23 May 08
- curious 1264Did any of you actually attend the sales pitch you signed up for?
- judy renothese soliciters call every 20 minutes and have music playing when i answer. they are a nuisense and i am on the do not call list.
- kenI was a sucker four years ago and got "sold". Stay away from these people. they call you twice as much when you do business with them. I now own a piece of crap time share that I have not used in four years that I can also not give away.
- SethI have received 52 calls since Wednesday. I just filed a complaint with the Attorney General's Office, the BBB and the Dallas Arts Festival where I signed up. I downloaded a program to my blackberry to ignore the number automatically. I am beyond done with this vile marketing.

- KarenYeah...the $500 card! That's how this started! MONTHS AGO!! And by the way, I followed through with the TWO "sign-up-for-this and we'll give-you-that" scam...got all the disney books and cosmotique, but no $500 gift card! SUCKER I am!
Phone calls started this week...I went to a hot-air balloon festival in Dallas over the weekend...signed up for free stuff - never do that again! - MLKI knowingly registered for about a million drawings at a Bridal Expo. I started getting calls (8, within 3 hours) from this number. I never answered; it's only someone trying to get you to see timeshare properties.
- LoriThis number has called me like 3 times in the last 20 minutes. I do not answer phone calls that show up private or unknown caller... so I don't have a clue who it is but I know it is annoying me.
- GloWe joined Silverleaf about 10 years ago. Do not get pulled into any of their contests. If you already own a timeshare with them, don't get sucked into any of their "membership update meetings". If that was all they really wanted to tell you about, they could herd everyone into one big room and talk about all the new and improved stuff that is going on within Silverleaf Resorts. I have been to about 4 or 5 of them. What they want is to try to sell you another week somewhere at a great deal (but the maintenance fees go on forever) and then you can join their "Diamond Club" that promises you a "chance" to be able to reserve ahead of all the other members for a free stay at any of the other Siverleaf Resorts supposedly anytime there is one available. A salesman takes you into a room, gives you the speel and then when you tell them (hopefully) you are not interested, you should be able to just get up and leave.. but noooo, they have to get a Sales Manager to come in so the salesman can announce to him that you are not interested in yet another Silverleaf resort package. The calls will never end.. I have been getting them for at least 5 yrs now and we have asked them to stop and they promised we were off their call list, but they still continue to call. To be fair though, everything they have promised as perks to go to those "meetings" they have given us.. no cost weekend at the resort, voucher for a cruise (never used) free gas and even cash once. The thing that turned us off of it was we got an updated package a few years back that was supposed to be the top of the line for "no cost stays at any of the resorts avaiable for up to 6 days" and now they have put the Diamond Club over us.. They lost all credibility now with us.

- BenI just started recieving these calls yesterday numerous times a day. I told them not to call again and take me off the list...If they call back I will tell them that I will sue for harrasment if they call me one more time.
- AnonymLet's all call this guy and see how he likes it. If we somehow signed up to do business with them then surely he would like to speak with each of us.

Phone: (214) 631-1166 ext. 2218 - AlexThese people do not take no for an answer. I finally told them that they were in violation of the "do not call law" and that I would take legal action against them if they called again. So far they have not called back.
- Caller: unknown
- PennyI've received a call from 817-440-1027 also. I won't answer it unless I know who it is that is calling. No message has been left on my voice mail.
- AliciaI put my name on the do not call list and when I told them to take me off their calling list...they refused to do so and said that they do not participate in the do not call list (which by the way is illegal). They continued to call over and over up to like 70 times in two weeks. I reported them to the FCC and filed a complaint to the BBB on Silverleaf Resorts threatening to file w/ the police b/c their doing illegal harassment. They quit calling me within two days of filing the official complaints.
