Received call saying it was Wellcare. Asked if
that's what they'd say if I called back  and she said I would have to call a different number. She's immediately asked for personal info to verify my identity. Asked why Wellcare wasn't showing up on caller I'd and she said they were having a problem with the phone company...as if there's only one

They called me to ask about a medication I was taking. How often and how many I took. Asked about a prescription, name and birth date.

I called the Wellcare number on my card, having received these same calls.  I found that it is indeed from Wellcare, a part of medication adherence.  They removed my number from that department.  I noted that the 833-366-0127 number is not on my card, and neither is the callback number. I strongly recommended they change their practice to not ask for any verification from the receiver, and only advise to  call the number on the back of the card to verify what the call is about.

“We are calling about your prescription medication, you must call us back at this number immediately.”
Received call 8/14/25, recorded call.
My note, please notice that the scammer referred to themselves always as “we” and no company name was ever given.
Also, “your prescription”, no patient name or medication name was given.
Vague, non descriptive call messages such as this is a definite way, a sign, to know it is a scammer that the messages is directing you to call back. NEVER CALL BACK, NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE, SCREEN 100% OF YOUR CALLS, ALWAYS.
NEVER CALL SCAMMERS PHONE NUMBERS BACK. THEN THEY WILL YOU, TARGET YOU AND CALL MORE OFTEN WITH DIFFERENT SCAMS BECAUSE THEY MOST LIKELY KNOW THAT ELDERLY PEOPLE

A CALL LIKE THIS IS A PHISHING SCAM, TRYING TO STEAL YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER, NAME, ADDRESS, ENOUGH INFORMATION TO STEAL YOUR IDENTITY. THAT BECOMES IDENTITY THEFT. IF YOU GIVE INFORMATION YOU SHOULD IMMEDIATELY LOCK DOWN YOUR CREDIT AT THE 3 CREDIT AGENCIES, TRANSUNION, EXPERIAN, ESPRION. CHECK THE SPELLING…

1. Go online to EXPERIAN AND PUT A FRAUD ALERT ON YOUR CREDIT FILE IMMEDIATELY FOR NO CHARGE THAT LASTS ONE YEAR. A MESSAGE WILL BE PLACED AT THE THREE MAJOR CREDIT AGENCIES THAT YOUR INFORMATION MAY BE USED ILLEGALLY. SO ANYONE TRYING TO GIVE ANYONE INCLUDING YOU CREDIT, LIKE OPENING ACCOUNTS IN YOUR NAME WILL HAVE TO CALL YOU PERSONALLY TO GET YOU PERSONALLY TO OK THE CREDIT APPLICATION.
THIS STOPS SCAMMERS FROM RUINING YOUR CREDIT.

2. Make a police report locally that you were scammed and/or you believe your personal information will be used to commit fraud and/or other crimes.

3. ALSO FOR A FEE YOU CAN FREEZE YOUR CREDIT FOR 7 YEARS FOR A FEE AND USE A PIN TO ACCESS IT FOR TRANSACTIONS LIKE BUYING A CAR ON TIME.

AGAIN IF YOU GIVE PERSONAL INFORMATION, PLACE A FRAUD ALERT IMMEDIATELY, FILE A POLICE REPORT, DO NOT WAIT ONE MINUTE.

This phone number is definitely being used to commit fraud and gather information for criminal intent, it is so obvious.

You don't need to post the same to everyone in the thread. Those are unregistered users and they will likely not even see your reply.

You should do better research.  While that might have been true once, depending on what State you lived in, since the Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief, and Consumer Protection Act went into effect in 2018 (which preempted State laws regulating credit freezes) credit freezes can be placed and removed for free, and while they are in place they remain in place until removed, no time limit.

That makes you sound like you are shilling for Experian.  You can go to any of the three credit bureaus to set a Fraud Alert and they required to inform the other two to place a Fraud Alert on the records they have for you.

I received a call from 833-366-0127 last week and they said they were from Wellcare, wanted to go over my Rx and would I verify my birthdate.  I said no.  They hung up.

She called again today and I wouldn't give her any info.  She knew about my Rxs, and asked if I was still taking them.  I only gave her my zip code, nothing else.  Blocked the number

A couple days ago, I rec'd a call from 833-366-0127.  They left a message saying the call was an important reminder from my  Healthcare provider about my medication. Asked I call back 855-507-0298.  I didn't call back.  Today, I rec'd another call from this same number, but by phone service gave it the name Healthcare...as though that name would be in my contact list. It is not in my contact list, I decided not to answer.  This time a voice message wasn't left.  I do use Wellcare & know I have a prescription issue...so this is all suspicious to me.  Wellcare or the mail order pharmacy should be calling and leaving messages, not some random company.  There's way too many ways to scam consumers these days.

I also got many times from a voicemail from WellCare on the same phone number.(1-833-366-0127)
I returned to phone calling, That is answer the phone is but No one answered the phone.

That is phone is automated call from this number 1-833-366-0127 claiming to be from WellCare. However, no one came on the line afterwards, so I hung up. I figured it was a typical robocall scam. The same thing happened to me as well, just like you guys person who posted here.
