We have received approximately six call from this number in the past week. When I piushed my callback button it connected me to a recorded message in Spanish. We too have our mortgage with Ocwen and my payments are all up to date, so I am mystified, however these calls have only just started this week? It is very annoying bordering on harrassment.

This is the work of Ocwen.  They are "allowed" to sell our information to marketing companies.  We have spoken directly with Ocwen about this.  They told us that they took us off the marketing list but we still get the calls.  So the next step is to go onto the website, at the bottom of the page, click on privacy policy.  Click on the pdf and scroll down to find the "Limit Us" section.  This will allow you to print off their "Opt-Out" form.  Print it, fill it out and mail it.  KEEP A COPY for yourself, to refer to later.  But this won't take care of the problem for awhile.  You still have to wait for "processing" and your info has already been sold to this company.  It only prevents future issues.  So to take care of the current problem, the next time they call, immediately answer but say nothing.  Just put your phone on MUTE and let it sit there.  If you don't mind tying up your phone line, let them sit there for hours.  They are paying for that time and their automated system won't hangup until they get a noise from your end.  So the call just sits there racking up time and MONEY for them!  We left a telemarketer on mute for over 1 1/2 hours and they never called us back.  It may or may not work, but it makes me feel better!

847-368-7290 IS part of Ocwen Finace.  I asked the caller and she confirmed she was trying to sell me something.  I told her to quit calling me, take me off your calling list.  Not happening.  They are still calling and now, earlier and later in the day.

Have no idea who this is, but they are always calling - no message ever left.

I get calls from this number 5 times a day. I do not answer calls I dont recognize or leave messages on my answering machine. I am  already on DNC list (like that works!). Who is this place and how do I stop them?

I have been receiving calls from this number for months; they always hung up if I answered, so now the number is blocked. They call repeatedly anyway.  I do not have a mortgage and have never heard of Ocwen, so apparently the telemarketing company responsible for these calls has more than one (annoying) customer. I went to the BBB site mentioned above, but I don't want to get involved with these people any more than I already apparently am so I didn't file a complaint.

They call you on behalf of Ocwen to sell you insurance.

If you wish to stop these calls:

Call the number, give the customer service rep your telephone number and request that your number be put on the companies do not call list.  Advise the customer service rep that if you receive a call again you will be reporting them to the Attorney General of Illinois/Virginia and that the call has been recorded.

Calling me 2 times a day, at least. Caller ID says Intersection. No message.

I have ocwen as well. They call my business fax line all the time. Very annoying.

We have Ocwen too. They'll be getting a nasty call from me.

First I got a call on my cell phone. It was OCWEN with whom we have our mortgage. Then I got a call on my cell phone from a blocked number. Then when I did not pick it up a call came in from this number on our home phone and it was from Intersection, IN, Odd since 847 is a suburban Chicago area code.

Brand new cell phone, never given out number, these POS's still call.

I, too, have Ocwen and I am up to date on my mortgage.  I receive about four calls a day from this number.  Very annoying!!!

This number has called me every day over the past week, and I keep ignoring it.  I also have Ocwen Mortgage so after seeing all these other postings, it probably is them.  Ever since they took over my mortgage, they have been an annoying pain in the you know what!

If you re-call the number, you will be routed to their "Do Not Call". Don't know if it works, but worth a shot.
