who is this??

I got a call and they left a message - they said they were a debt collector from Nortstar Homes. They said if I didn't call back they would make a legal decision in my behalf. I have never heard of this company.

They keep on calling my namber also, debt collectors.

The person identified himself as Tom Kemna from North Start Location Services.  He was looking for my son but wouldn't tell me why, just said it was important he speaks to him.   I then looked up North Star Services and it says it is a rip off site.   I could not get ahold of my son but left him a message that someone was looking for him.   I should never have given him my son's phone number............

They called my unlisted number, which is mainly for my fax machine.  All it said was Toll free caller.  I did not pick up, and won't after reading about them here.  I think it is great you are posting info about these abusive jerks.  Aren't there laws against over-zealous collections?

They keep calling and asking for my husband refuse to give me any information when I asked why I did not receive anything from them in the mail they said maybe they have the wrong address, asked them to clarify it and they refused, said I pay the bills so give me the info or nothing will be resolved, still refused.

they keep calling me for a debt of a distant relative of mine i have no way to contact ... they call every morning at 8:15am then again in the late afternoon ... how is it even legal for them to harass me when i don't owe them a debt?

It's not . Check out the Fair Debt Collection Act for the do's and don't s on this .The rules are clear, see also about sending a Cease and Desist letter which they cannot ignore.

Northstar location services looking to collect a debt but only says I owe money.  Wont even give me a name hes looking for.  Just trying to get money out of me wether I owe a debt or not.  Scammers.

also be sure to check your checking account and debit card information… They started calling me ever since I stopped my account because they were fraudulently hitting it
what they do is they'll hit it for three dollars here and three dollars there, all small amounts if you times to see if you notice, and then a few weeks later BAM hit you for hundreds if not thousands of dollars...awful funny how these calls started coming in, within an hour after I froze my accountant filed fraud charges

they are no debt collector they are a scammer and looking for ways to infiltrate any account you have!

Did not answer. Caller stated, "you have an important message from North Star, this is a debt collector, please return call.....  Did not identify who the message was for for. I'm debt free. This is the third call but different phone numbers come up on caller ID. Must be a scam.

Called my cell phone (only family has the number).  Left a message that said they were a debt collector trying to collect on a debt.  I don't owe anyone money.  But, it is the first part of the month and I am sure they have to hit the number of scams for the month.
