It is legit. I called the tangerine number on my credit card afterwards and they confirmed that they had been the ones to call me.

I did call Tangerine security and they said that it was a real call. I expressed my concerns about the information that they requested and this type of call sets off a lot of red flags.

This is the security department phone number.  When your  application is on hold, a agent will call you and verify certain information. If you pass the verification process, the may ask you to provide some docs or approve your application

This is definitely phishing.  My call was a very very convincing spear phish. knew my name and everything.  I called tangerine fraud and this number is NOT associated with them. They did not call me
