Called looking to collect for crutches I didn't need or take from emergency department

I get at least one call a day from this number.  How do I get them to stop calling?  I don't answer but sometimes I hear in my answering machine: " thanks for waiting"

This company called me and I confirmed my name for them, but refused to give them any other details unless they told me what they were calling about. They said they needed MY information FIRST. This annoyed me, and I hung up on them. I have no known debts, so I suspect they are gathering information for someone. As far as I am concerned this is harassment.

Calls me everyday, multiple times a day and never says anything. Ignore this #.

I keep getting calls several times daily from this number, anyone 855  483 0981.

keep getting voice mails from this phone number like in one day i will receive around 10 of them, they will all be with a silent message is so annoying and its everyday, the worse thing is that phone will never even ring not even have a miss call on my phone, but i get them voice messages, I block the number and it wont stop, what  can i do should i change phone number?

Well, from reading the other posts I learned that this is a debt collector (see it does pay to read and learn).  Now, from what I can find out, this is a debt collector in Canada.  Luckily for you Canada has debt collection laws that spell out exactly what a debt collector must do.  So, I would suggest that you find out what those laws are for your Province and use them to stop the calls.

They called us looking for a person who most likely had our number before us. Phoned the collection agency back and asked for our number to be removed from their database, which they have to do under Ontario provincial laws. Was told that a previous owner of our phone number had an unpaid fine with the City of Toronto. Verified with the City of Toronto that Partners in Credit Inc. is one of the collection companies used by them for unpaid fines as per:

City staff and the collection agency mentioned that they obtained our phone number from one of the credit bureaus (Equifax and/or Transunion) and that it is up to me to remove our number from old and outdated files. I figure it is up to ROBELLUS to do so when they reassign or recycle old phone numbers. We're paying these crooks already way too much, it is the least they can do!

This is a scammer. Block their calls and never answer
