- Chris| 1 reply- received a call from this number today , 09.27.2014 , at app 1:15 pm ( edt ) in the afternoon .....
no message , just called , waited until voice mail kicked in , then hung up !!! nonsense , whoever these idiots are......- Caller: unknown......no one on the line......scammer ?
- DennisThis is a Rogers Accounts Receivable call with an "urgent" message. You probably have a "past due" account and owe them money.
- GordThis is an identity theft/credit card scam. It is not from Rogers! The automated message left on your phone sounds professional and is designed to have you call back and give them your personal and credit card information. Never return a call such as this. Always look up the true company number and call back directly. The actual Rogers credit department number is 1 877 559-5202 for Canada and 1 888-ROGERS-2 (764-3772) for US. Be safe, do not call numbers left in messages (even this one) or follow links provided in emails, look it up yourself to confirm!
- Caller: Identity Theft Credit Card Scam
- John replies to BevThese people are ANNOYING...!!!! I get constant calls. I pay my bills........!
- PaulIt's Rogers harassment service. Just set your phone to call blocking and ignore them
- Caller: Rogers
- Call type: Debt collector
- Stephen| 1 replyI called rogers after an employee gave information to this number, they said it was a rogers number and the call was not fraudulent. Is there evidence to the contrary? Is it possible for scammers to gain access to an actual rogers number?
- Caller: Rogers
- Miss PThe message says it's Rogers calling about my account. The call originates from the States. There is no Rogers in the USA. I called Rogers and they told me it's a scam.
- Gre NepelThey called asking to massage my son's balls. He's only 11!!!
This is disgusting and clearly a scammer with a fetish for very young boys. - PhilipI keep getting called by this number 855 704-7980 and it seems to be from Roger's. They never leave a message and when I pick up it's usually a very accented voice which is hard to understand. I cancelled my Roger's mobile service but I still get these calls. Very irritating.

This number is well known to Rogers as being one that creates scam phone calls from India/Nigeria. The callers are using phone spoofing software (fakes the number on caller ID) to mask their numbers. They then leave voicemails with an official sounding Rogers recording for “9100 Don Mills”. They are pretending to be your company Rogers! All this in hopes to dupe customers into giving their credit card numbers over the phone. I feel bad for anyone who falls for this scam.
(I sure would be excited and surprised to see a legit concrete answer from one of the stakeholder CEO’s of one of Canada’s largest net profit companies, but here goes…) Here’s my question for Rogers Head Office:
Q. What is Rogers Corporate doing to help protect their customers? You’re company is a billion dollar entity, it would seem like you’d have the power (and responsibility) to fight these scammers and save your loyal customers the head ache of receiving repeated harassing calls from this and other scam numbers.
The solution is quite simple. Devise technology (if it doesn’t already exist) that is capable of blocking ALL spoofed (fake) or IP (computer genereated) phone numbers. Customers should have the option to block these types of calls for no charge.
We loyally pay our monthly bills and shouldn’t have to put up with our phone services being abused by foreign scammers. I can only imagine the larger view of the billions of dollars in credit fraud payments and stolen identity information this issue is costing credit companies… why not team up with Visa or Mastercard? Get the police proactively involved too. Your customers have done their part in repeatedly bringing this issue to your attention, do something about it!
It’s 2016… Pretty sad if anyone in a foreign country who has access to an 1) outdated computer, 2) automated dialing software, and 3) a telephone line, can continuously harass and criminally defraud 10,000’s of Canadians with no reprocussive penalties in sight.
C’mon Rogers… you can do better!
I’d like to see more customers voice their opinion. Let’s get the media outlets, journalists, and newspapers involved. This is an issue that is affecting alot of people. Let’s work together and fix it.- Caller: 8557047980

- SomeDudeThey call me everyday at the same time, around 10:18am. Always the recording saying they're from Don Mills and to call them back on a number different than the one they called me from. They say to call back at 855-704-7980 however the call comes in from 855-862-6423 on my cell phone. I just ignore them, but they sure are annoying!
- Caller: Scamfags
- bobgot 10+ call from this #, no one speaks,
- Caller: 855-704-7980
- Not a Rogers customerSet to auto block. Obviously a scam. Canada should do more to block these scams.
- Caller: Says Rogers
- Long| 1 replyDo not call back. Delete all voice messages from the mobile phone, including saved messages. It is not from Rogers. They left 7 voice messages on my phone. It is a recording type of message.
- Caller: Claimed to be Rogers.
- ArtNot sure who the Gord fella is that says it's a credit card scam, it's not, it is actually from Rogers, it's from their automated message center when your account is overdue. No biggie
- Caller: Rogers
- Art replies to LongIt is Rogers, just spoke to the customer service who verified the number, the call is from their automated message center that goes out when an account is overdue
- Not RogersI don't see why Rogers would try to call me for an overdue account. I don't know if this is really from Rogers. But if it is, it is still strange considering that I do not do business with Rogers at all. Never did! No phone, Internet or TV, nothing.
