I have received calls from this number - 855 849 6236 - every day for months! at the same time of the day. I finally called the number - it is American Legacy Pac ...wait until you hear the entire message - at option 3 - you can leave your phone number to be on the don't call list. Thank Goodness!

Multiple calls daily - right up to 9  p.m. and Sundays, too, always just hangs up.  I called, finally, just now. It's a politcal action committee.  I don't care who or what it is about, I'll never support any organization that behaves this way!

Did you get an automated message telling you to choose 1 to continue and 2 to be removed from the list?  If you did, and pressed "2", you just confirmed a human being is able to answer calls at that number.  Sad, but true, the "press ___ to be removed from our list" is just another way to get added to more and more calling lists.

This is just one more of more than a dozen #s that call me everyday...early in the morning, all day long, late at night and even on the weekends. How can this be stopped?

I have caller id so these creatures will NEVER reach us.  They are like cockroaches and are almost as difficult to be rid of.  Terrible, terrible people.

I've received more than 100 calls from this number. I answered several times when they first started calling but no one was there. I finally talked to someone the last time they called. The woman told me she was calling for Newt Gingrich. She got kinda huffy when I told her @%&# would freeze over before I'd give Newt any money or listen to anything he had to say.

If you call the number 855-849-6236 - do not include the 1-, it answers with a recording for "The American Legacy PAC" .  I do not know how to stop them from calling.  My number is on the do not call list but they keep calling.

In the past 15 to 18 months our phones (home and cells) have received so many political calls that at one point we joked that we must be the only people on the list.  Now I answer the phone and listen...politely request the information about what group, pac, cause, or whatever they call it at that moment (changes about every day or so).  I get the address, who is backing the whatever, who they are against and who they are for, the phone number, email, and any other information I can "politely con" out of them.  At the end of all of this (I now have log book next to the home phone), they start the "what amount etc, etc, etc"...I thank them for their time and information and will be unable to send them any donation because the money will be spent sending complaints to any and ever entity that governs them, contacting my phone carriers, having the number blocked from all my phones, and any other thing I can find to stop the calls.  At the end of this "polite" call, I inform them that our family has always been extremely generous to causes we believe in however due to the unbelievable number of political calls wanting money for this and that we no longer give to political groups.  The funny thing is they are so shocked and irritated by this point, they don't even hang up until I tell them to remove my name and don't call again.  I wonder if it is because they have been so forthcoming with the information I request from them, which includes their first name in most instances, they really don't know what I am going to do with the information.  We are lucky we have a US Senator and US Representative who is very accessible and very helpful with these issues.  My cousin is also married to one of our State Senators and one of our State Representatives is an old classmate.  This has began to slow the calls and by the time the next round of political elections come around, I will have many questions for the "new" political callers.

They've been calling us two or three times a day for months. I've tried call-block, but It won't recognize the number. We usually just let it ring until it stops, but would like to stop the calls.

If you call the number there is a recording and it will give you option to be put on their do not call list.  I just did it..

Call the number back listen to the message and at the end there is an option to remove your number from American Legacy's call list.  I did that this morning l will see how that works.

I do not disagree with their message, however someone who does not leave a message, answers with a recording or does not identify themselves when their call is answered I consider non-professional and I will not work with them much less donate to their cause regardless of the message.

I usually look up an unknown # to see who is calling before answering, Especially if the first # is "8"... This company/person won't stop calling. Hopefully, eventually they will stop.

This is American Legacy Foundation, if you call the number there's an option to get your number off the call list. They're a big pain!
