I cancelled one phone # because of harrassing calls from these & others.  Can't believe nothing can be done to stop these scammers!  What about looking after all of us honest citizens instead of catering to criminals!

If India is so loaded with criminals and our governments cannot do anything to stop it, then I say we just start nuking these criminal countries back to the stone age so they can't call us anymore.

This company is nothing but thieves and criminals, being tortured to death would be way too good of treatment for everyone who works for this criminal syndicate.

Ok easy way to tie these criminals up, if we all start calling them with google talk at 8558885881 then when they answer, just hang up and redial. A hundred of us doing that would make them very annoyed.

A man with a heavy accent called (I could hear numerous other voices speaking in the background - seemed to be on telephones).

He said: "Hi, my name is Moses, and I represent Salon Tax Report, I received notice that your Microsoft updates are not being processed by your computer"
I asked: "How did you receive my phone number?"
Moses replied: "I received notice from Microsoft product data-bases that you purchased one of their products"
I asked: "What if our household only uses Apple products?"
Moses replied: "Well, I received notice that your Microsoft products are not being updated."
I asked: "What Microsoft product did you receive notice on me purchasing?"
Moses replied by hanging up the phone.

Received this call from 1-855-888-5881 stating problem with my internet connection and that my puter wasn't receiving updates.  Told him I had 5 computers and he said we needed to go through them all. Little did he know, I was online typing in microsoft contact info and found a different number. Told Eddie that I needed his number and would call back.  Called microsoft to let them know about the scam and they knew. Next called my internet provider to let them know about it. They had no idea!  :)

Ha! I received a call from "Jayson." Heavy accent. He, too, said that my computer was having issues updating with Microsoft. I almost laughed at him. I was baffled by how stupid this call was from the getgo. I said "If I have issues, I'll call for help." He gave me the company name and his name. He stumbled on his words as if he knew he was lying/about to provide services that would destroy my computer. Ridiculous. I tried to call the number back. The line rang constantly. I'm sorry for the guy that accepted their call and services, but seriously. How was this not a red flag that THEY were calling YOU about your computer.... as if your computer has your phone number tagged to it and they were able to tell that it was having issues. If they knew that it was having issues, then they'd be able to do anything to your computer without having to call you.

    Ridiculous.

I received a call from 855-888-5888 at around 4 PM and again at 7 PM. The second time I picked up as I was expecting a phone call and figured it may be that person calling from a different number, not leaving a message the first time.

"Angel" told me that she received notification that my Microsoft computer was having an issue pushing updates and she would like to help me resolve my issues. I played along with her, but I don't own any Microsoft products.

Wife received this call Sara with a heavy Indian  accent tried to get info from her about our computers. Tried the hard sell approach telling her the same thing as other posts but was from our service provider(no specific name). When she ask her who she worked for she didn't tell her so wife said I'll talk to my husband and hung up.  Remotely accessed my home network and my network firewall blocked a ping from Dubai @ the same time she was on the phone. These scamers are unbelievable.I would love to know how they get the info they do or is it just random chance. On DNC list and unlisted phone num. My advice just block their number if you can.

I received a call on my cell phone from a guy named "Dennis" from Microsoft.  He said they received word that the Microsoft updates were not being accepted by my computer.  Asked him how I could verify he was a Microsoft employee and he said to call him back at 1-855-888-5881 so I checked the number online and found this site.

A person called me from this number.  First, Microsoft does not upload personal information such as Phone Numbers when your computer updates.  Second, no Microsoft personnel would ask for access to your computer without first giving you a ticket number, and they only connect when you call them.
Do not trust any caller that does not show a number on your caller ID.  It may be a scam, it may be a telemarketer.  Regardless, when the caller cannot even identify the update the computer is supposedly unable to download, this should be a clue.  I do not care if some people think this is a good company.  In my book, anyone who calls me without my request is phishing for information and I do not trust them.  Microsoft handles Microsoft issues.

As for the comments supporting this company...
I just spoke with Microsoft directly and they assured me they have received numerous call regarding this phone number (855-888-5881).  They are currently reporting every case to the Federal Trade Commission and suggest you do the same.

Remember, Microsoft does not store your phone number outside of a ticket number.  They have no way of calling you without you calling them first.  Once that ticket number is a closed issue, your number is no longer stored.

Beware of ANYONE that calls you to talk about your computer, when you know you have not made a request.

This company is using the phone system to harass people into giving up access to their computers and their money.

Contact your state or federal trade commission and the national Do Not Call list.  Do not let these people continue to interrupt your day.
