I received a weird call today from this number (856) 204-0000. It asked for me by name.  When I said, how can I help you, it asked me to confirm who I was which I did and then the caller hung up.  He hade a foreigh accent; Indian origin probably.

I can't get any information on the company or why I had the call in the first place.

Same thing for me.  Called me at work on my directly line.  Asked for me, hung up when I said speaking.  Voice was accented, but didn't have time to tell what.  Could hear a lot of noise in the background, sounding like other calls going on.

The name that appeared on the caller id was "New Tarek Auto", which is a legitimate business based in Long Island City, NY.  Tried calling the number directly and got a "at the subscriber's request, the phone does not accept incoming calls" message.  Ran a reverse lookup on the number, it is a land line based in Vineland, NJ.  Unfortunately cannot get the name or address of who the number is registered to for free.

called my cell and I did not answer. I say my name in my voicemail, so maybe that was confirmation enough (?) - they did not leave a message.

Got the same call.  Voice sounded like he was from India.  I tried calling and received a phone company message saying that at the caller's request the number didn't receive inbound calls.  Pain in the butt.  I have better things to do than have some random person calling our office, taking up staff time, as well as mine.

PS... Caller ID actually showed 856-204-0000 as being "New Tarek Auto". Google shows it as a New York business.

This company is a CIA front company, related to Choicepoint data, recording "voiceprint" which gets saved to a personal profile at Choicepoint.  I did extensive database work for Choicepoint from 2006-2010.  All of your shopper "loyalty card" data, your SS #, your driver's license photo and number, property you own, etc. is all stored in a nice database for resale.  Take a moment out of your busy day and "Google" who Choicepoint's biggest customer is.  :)
