Best idea so far for me: create one contact , name something like "Ignore, spammer" or whatever. Then always add the offending caller as a new number to that contact.  When they call back, just tap ignore. Not perfect, but it's better than nothing. ;p

sorry, forgot this: use the least irritating ring tone you have for this Spammer, Ignore contact.  Always use the ignore the call button.
I got TWO calls last week around 3 AM!! fortunately was on silent, and only found out about the calls while looking through log histories.

Portfolio Recovery.  I laugh every time they call, I will never answer their calls.  Let them burn up their resources, they all go out of business sooner or later or go to jail.  Just a sleaze bag company trying to collect bogus debts.  They are nothing but cons trying their luck with scams.

registering your phone for donotcall only protects you from sales people. You can still get calls from bill collectors and requests for donations.

They're not marketing or selling...."no call list".....you already DID business with them....they're TRYING to collect that debt.  Don't answer!

The Do Not Call list does not apply to Bill collectors.

Tried to collect on a debt from Southwestern Bell. There hasn't been a telephone company operating under that name since approx. 2002! Also, I haven't had a phone under my name since the 80's. These guys are buying decades old debt, or scammers, or both! Scum bags all the way.

Portfolio Recovery... been calling us every day usually multiple times per day, they keep going and going.  I never answer our phone if we don't know the caller. you would think that they would learn...but they're obviously dumb as rocks. They are the worst of the worst.

Call came in at about 11:25am on a Sunday, right after another caller that I told not to call here again (MCM?).  I picked it up and there was dead air.  I said hello twice and then it went to the rapid busy signal.  My husband blocked the number.

We don't have any outstanding debts and don't know why they are calling. They have been calling every morning and evening for about 2 months now. they call on the weekend too. Why do they call if people don't owe anybody? Wish they would stop calling.

The main place of portfolio recovery is west Virginia, they have officices in every state! And they have been sued by new York city for billions of dollars a few years back, they also harrasing me as well and won't stop calling
